How to Network on Social Media (Organically)
If you aren't already using social media as a way to network, you are missing out some great revenue for your business! By networking on social media I have gotten more referrals, and because I have other streams of income (with other affiliate programs) - people usually sign up for more than ONE.
So I'll tell you the ways that I market online, and give you details on how I do it.
Let's Begin!
Join Relevant Groups
The groups you want to join are the ones related to your niche, or the groups where your target audience is. For instance, if I search on - let's say - Facebook, I want to search for Affiliate Marketing (as that is the niche I chose).
I will look at all the groups related to my specific search, as well as other pages. I join groups where I can promote my Affiliate Programs + where I can also give information about Affiliate Marketing.
Make sure that when you do comment on peoples post, that you pay attention to when they respond. Try to respond back (if needed) in a timely manner. This will really boost your authority!
Applied Knowledge is Power
As you may know already, you want to engage in meaning full ways first. You want to build a good relationship with your target audience. THEN, eventually a situation will arise where they are asking YOU about your business and how they can join.
This goes with every niche. The more valuable content you post, the more followers you will get, and the more you will be established as an authority figure on social media.
Multiple Social Media Accounts
I have Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and YouTube for my business. I haven't worked on the YouTube channel much, but I plan to change that this weekend.
The point being, Kyle is right when he says share your content on social media. Share the posts your write! I love the Sassy Social Share plugin for this reason. I share all my posts on all of my social media pages.
I use hashtags as well, because that will help people who look at that hashtag to see your post. Believe it or not, people click on hashtags to see more posts like it.
BONUS TIPS
1) One thing I learned from researching how to advertise in social media - is how to leverage my personal Facebook page to promote my business.
What I learned was to change my personal profile background to my business logo. Then post in the title + comments area the link to my website.
When you comment within groups from your personal account, people will click to see your profile. If they click on the photo or background cover - they will see the link and click on it.
If you give valuable information - people are interested in that and want to learn more. The more they hear it from you - the more consistently they will return.
*an addition to this bonus coming soon*
2) When you use SiteContent and click on ABC check - make sure you read the sentence to what it is recommending. ABC Check is excellent - but not always correct in it's suggestions.
Don't just speed through and assume that all corrections being offered are 100% correct. I have learned from my own personal experience - I can admit that.
Check out this picture below as an example of a suggestion that you would NOT accept:
If I hit Use This then my sentence would read as: you are missing out on some great revenue for you business.
Do you see why I would not accept this suggestion?
Please do me ONE favor

Great post. Now I must say I still need to discover how I could make good use of a facebook group on solar that I founded in 2012 which now has 148k members and tie it up with affiliate marketing.
Here is my fb group link:

Would like to hear your feedbacks.
Thanks.

Hi there,
I looked at what I could on your FB group (which isn't much because I am not a member).
You have a lot of followers and it seems like a lot of people might be posting within your group. Which is ok, but I feel that might take away from your posts a little bit.
Depending on how many posts there are a day - yours could get lost.
By this time, you could be promoting what you are selling to people in the group (if you haven't already).
I just have my page, so that people will see my posts whenever I post. I do have a group, but I haven't done much with it.
I don't see the point if everything I am already posting on my page - is on my page. I want people to network here, instead of in my group.
Those are just my own unique thoughts - and it's ok if you don't agree with them. This is just my own opinion.
Great job so far!
Elise
Hi Elise!
Thanks for your awesome feedback. I just sent you a friend request in facebook. Now, if you are still interested in diving deeper into my Solar Power Philippines fb group so you could help analyse how a big fb group like this would be used to advance our affiliate projects, I could add you as a member. Thank you.
Now, the challenge would be that the group is focused on Solar and Storage (battery) power. How do we mix solar energy and affiliate business.
What I have done with my personal ads within the group is make it into an Announcement, then pin it to the top. Then everyone sees that ad at the top and above everyone's posts.
Opened your The Affiliate Girl website. Very impressive, clean and well laid out. I like how you have added ads for Wealthy Affiliate on the sidebars that are permanent there. Great site.
Let us power on!
Joe
I would love to be a member!
See I could learn from you more about the groups as well!
I don't see your friend request :(
Building Our Legacies!!!!

Resent my fb friends request.
Also added you as member of the Solar Power Philippines fb group! By the way, we do have an international community (I do not know how big) in this group. I see folks from Australia and in other Asian countries.
We have engineers, techs and diy in this group.
Hope you enjoy and find success in this group.
Also let us figure out how to utilize the group's 149k membership to market affiliate marketing. The key is to have a seamless merging of the two different industries that would benefit both sides...if it is possible.
Thanks.
Joe
