Horizontal Versus Vertical Growth?

Pondering horizontal and vertical growth...

In a moment of reflection I find myself wanting both and wanting none at times. Where is that sweet spot of enough and just a little more? Perhaps sometimes when we are busy trying to live a vertical life we miss out on the subtle nuances of a horizontal life.

So without closing my mind to all possibilities, I am also grateful for all that I have experienced so far. My metaphor for this thought is like a library, that is so big and full of all kinds of books, picture books, novels of great mysteries and adventure, fiction, non fiction etc etc. My life will not be long enough to read them all, however the ones I do read should feed my curiosity, spirit and soul and leave me wanting just a little more.

Embracing Vertical Growth, I'm happy to say that I've enjoyed every moment of my first month in this wonderful WA world! Can't wait for this journey to continue, and "I'm in" to pursue this amazing opportunity that we have all found here.

Congrats on your first month here! As you pointed out that makes us twins! Your post is very thought provoking! As I point out in my profile The 4Bs
By using them as a checklist it has helped me stay balanced!
I will admit that right now with the work I am doing here I am out of balance, but it is for a season and I am willing to do so for a period of time! I know that once I learn this it will be easier and I will be able to regain balance!
Any time a person allows themselves to be out of balance in one area of life it is important to stay balanced in the other three?
I am allowing this now to help the financial part later!
Again great post! have a blessed night!

Thank you James! I'll quote you on your 4Bs here (for others that might not have checked out your profile yet) "Spiritual, Physical, Relational, and Financial"...brilliant! All about the balance, and hang on because I'm convinced that we're in for the most amazing ride of our lives at WA! Looking forward to more chats along the way, and have a delightful weekend! E :)

Thanks, I agree, I am sure we will face our struggles? But I have no doubt that we will prevail!

Makes you think--profound!

It's funny that WA has inspired me to write more in the past month than I've done in the past 20 years?! Thanks, Ed :) Have an awesome weekend!

That is so cool Elisa really like your pondering . At some point I wonder if vertical and horizontal growth merge into one .
I am so glad you are enjoying your wealthy affiliate experience . Long may it continue .

Nice post.
It is my understanding that we need both horizontal and vertical aspects to create power....like the horizontal calm water that turns into a raging waterfall when the vertical aspect is added. We literally generate electricity from that power.
Pretty awesome. It is also my understanding that it is this same principle that was applied in the original concept of the cross. Thanks for inspiring me to think about this :) Powerful stuff!

What a wonderful post, Elisa! The analogy of all the books there are to read is a good way to approach this AND I so love the concept behind vertical and horizontal growth.

You have a good way with words, a good choice of a visual...you will do well with your website!
