Emotional attitude of my WA Health Website posts
I am very concerned about the state of conventional medical care plus the contamination of our food supply, both of which are contributing to chronic and deadly illness in our society. I want to illustrate this in my posts with some challanging headings and articles, critical of both. I will cite facts and references. Too many blogs just blandly talk about the same alternative information over and over, without any compelling facts on WHY the readers NEED this information to preserve and enhance their health.
MY QUESTION: Is this a good idea? Pros and Cons:

Idea is perfect and worthy to execute, just you need to put disclaimer and sometimes explain facts without blaming big Pharma directly, especially if you are not professional in your field.
Good points, Nemira. I am NOT a professional in the medical field. Just a health-minded longtime researcher who has experienced directly the impenetrable and protective arrogance of some medical professionals while searching for treatment of several serious health issues. I am presenting myself as someone my readers can identify with, as one of them. I will be pointing out how natural cures are far safer than pharmaceutical ones, providing examples. And a site disclaimer is an excellent idea.
Thank you so much for your input!!

Yeah, probably. Start with Flint, Michigan, or farmed Salmon, or Blue Bonnet ice cream, or food trucks in Seattle. There is no end to the issues. Labeling for GMOs, Chipotle restaurants...............
You've got that right, Broderick! We are in a mess and the more of us who can fight back the better. Thanks for your opinion!

Broderick, do I sense a bit of a cynic? I hear you my friend. That's not cynicism; more like pointing out serious problems....Dick
I don't think I'm a cynic. I'm a 60 year old man that has seen time and time again politicians take short cuts to line their pockets at the expense of their constituents.
I know you are no cynic and you have just put your finger on the true source of nearly all of the problems. Others are now awakening. Going to get interesting?
Won't get that interesting for some time. People in general are so short sighted, they want to elect a billionaire because they think he or she will make them richer which may be true. While doing so, though, our quality of life suffers, thereby shortening our lifespan and making the extra money pointless. The laws that have to be passed to protect us from corruption have to be passed by corrupt politicians. It's such a long road, I don't think we'll reach daylight in my lifetime.
We all have to do what we can to put the spotlight on the corrupt. I write letters to two newspapers. I get some interesting responses. One from a warlock. You should try it.....Dick
Absolutely. And when you talk about medical care here in the US you can discuss how pharmaceutically driven our medicine is. Other than New Zealand we are the only country that permits the constant bombarding of meds on TV. It is horrendous.
That is one of the topics I have already written about, Big Pharma. The TV ads tell you take a drug and then tell you the many ways it can harm or even kill you. It is beyond stupid. Thanks, Dick!

This I am very aware of!! But I think it will make for very stimulating posts and hopefully good reactions from visitors. The subject won't be too controversial for people already looking for other answers to their health concerns. And that's who I am appealing to. Thanks for the warning, Dick!

It's a great idea. People need new information and as long as you can back up with references, I think these things need to be said!
As long as you can provide facts and references you shouldn't have any problem writing about your concerns.
Thanks, Alma! That is exactly what I will do, but my posts will still rile some feathers if any in the conventional medical community read them.
But, no matter, I want to inform readers why they need alternative ways to care for their health.

Challenging the status quo is what liberates us. If you have the passion and the guts for it...I think it is a great idea. Your main hurdle might be to avoid sounding like a crackpot. 'Out landish' claims do get a lot of attention. You just need your facts to back you.
BTW I always root for the underdog.
Go really well from Janelle.
Thanks, Janelle!
I agree, I need to temper my factual remarks while at the same time rousing the reader to understand some urgency about the topic. A fine line and I will be sure to stay out of crackpot territory.
My own experience in dealing with conventional doctors over the past five years proved they were very threatened and angry by my decision to go the alternative route in my choice of treatment for some serious conditions.
And the allopathic community regularly calls out the attack dogs on many alternative doctors.
Guess I am a tad scared of their anger, but I will overcome that, get my guts in gear and perhaps receive rewarding attention from my readers.
Definitely the passionate underdog, here, and I will appreciate having you on my side very much!!!
I so appreciate your feedback!

I don't see why not since Kyle says to have an intent and challenge your readers. I think it would be great as long as they know you have facts.
Opinions will possibility be commented and that is what you want in a post. Communication back and forth!
Sheila
You have given me the answer I was looking for, Shiela. Comments from people against alternative medicine could be combative, but I will hold the high ground. Anyway, I think most readers will be those already seeking alternative answers.
Thank you for your support!
