How To Use The Power Of Autosuggestion To Boost Your Business?

How aware are you that Autosuggestion used correctly can directly impact your business positively? Autosuggestion can also be used for negative results. The amazing fact is the choice is ours. But most do make a conscious choice for positive results. And if you don't, guess what happens. That blank space will be filled with negative suggestions that will most certainly give you negative results.

This blog post is the book study of Think and Grow Rich Chapter 4. The title is naturally, Autosuggestion. For those who are following this book study is to read Chapter 4 not once, but several times this week. That shows how important it is that the message it imparts sinks in.

Reprogramming The Mind

The approach is to help reprogram how our mind works towards achieving our goals. The lessons presented to us by Napoleon Hill is timeless. It has worked for about 100 years and can work for us in building our affiliate marketing business.

We MUST develop the right mindset otherwise we will NEVER succeed. I will bet that all those Wealthy Affiliate members who have achieved their goals, have used these principles intuitively.

There are many books written by many excellent authors who have and continue to help their readers to succeed. So why do I feel that out of all those books Think and Grow Rich was the book I selected?

Think and Grow Rich

I had this book for years and never read it. When I started reading it my mind was blown over. Each lesson not only provides a mental skill we need to possess, but it has simple exercises to help us get there. We need to apply the principle of concentration while carrying out the instructions.

They are not intuitive and may not make sense to many. In order for these lessons to work, we MUST take the exercises seriously and combine the words with emotion. That is what Mr. Hill says is the key to make this work.

If we go through the book haphazardly, with no emotion, then that is worse than not reading it at all. Because in the end, one will wonder why this is not working. There is a method behind his "madness." My recommendation is to follow the formula taught here.

AUTOSUGGESTION

The subtitle states, "The Medium For Influencing The Subconscious Mind.- The Third Step Towards Riches."

The first two were THOUGHT and DESIRE. Let's recap what the exercise we were tasked to do in Chapter 3.

We had to use our thought process to decide what was the object of our desire that we would do whatever it takes to get it. Part of this process was to visualize our goal so vividly and with emotion, that we could almost feel it was already achieved.

The next step was to figure out what price we were willing to pay in exchange for our goals.

These had to be written down and placed in a location we could see it when we get up and before we go to sleep. Also, we had to read this OUT LOUD and with EMOTION twice a day. It was critical we mentally created a feeling we already had our goals in our grasp.

Reading what we wrote is not good enough. You see, most people think that this will have no impact and do not take it seriously.

I learned something very important that should give you pause to reconsider. Let me quote what I feel is the crux of Chapter 3. Every chapter has many nuggets of gold. But just one is the biggest. In my opinion, this is a biggie:

"Do not wait for a definite plan, through which you intend to exchange services or merchandise in return for the money you are visualizing, but begin at once to see yourself in possession of the money, demanding and expecting meanwhile, that your subconscious mind will handover the plan, or plans you need. Be on the alert for these plans, and when they appear, put them into action immediately. When the plans appear, they will probably 'flash' into your mind through the sixth sense, in the form of 'inspiration.' Treat is with respect, and act upon it as soon as you receive it.

In the fourth of the six steps, you were instructed to 'Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once to put this plan in action.' You should follow this instruction in the manner described in the preceding paragraph. Do not trust your 'reason' when creating your plan for accumulating money through the transmutation of desire. Your reasoning factor may be lazy, and, if you depend on it entirely upon it to serve you, it may disappoint you.

When you visualize the money you intend to accumulate, (with closed eyes), see yourself rendering the service, or delivering the merchandise you intend to give in return for this money. This is important!"

Six Steps

What follows in this chapter is a section called, "Six Steps To Stimulate Your Subconscious Mind."

Read it. Do what it says. This is the process that is necessary for the power of autosuggestion to work. The payoff is stated in the last paragraph of this section. Do not miss that.

Don't we believe that Wealthy Affiliate offers us the very best training and platform to succeed in affiliate marketing? Sure, we all know it will take time, doing the right actions and writing great content, Lots of it.

The training tells us what we have to do. And if we are not sure, we have many avenues to get our questions answered. I am going to assume that at the end of the training we know what we have to do to succeed.
Can I ask you a question?

Why is it difficult to do what we know we have to do?

Answer this question honestly. I feel that my habits are not conducive to success. My actions are haphazard and I am not following my plan.

The solutions to change our habits to do what it takes to succeed is provided in this book.

Deeds become a habit when it is repeated over and over again. Approaching this business haphazardly is a habit. And a bad one at that. Bad habits are HARD to change. We need help to make these changes.

Here is where Think and Grow Rich comes in.

I wish to thank all those who contributed to Chapter 3 with heartfelt stories. Many have said that this exercise is exactly what they needed to get a "kick in the backside" my interpretation, to jump start their business.

We are only at Chapter 4 out of 15. I am convinced that those who follow the lessons and take the actions they require, will begin to see measurable positive results. This will happen because good habits will replace bad habits through the power of AUTOSUGGESTION!
