Rise Above
Welcome once again to the Blog of Eddie Edmonds displayer of the art of Joan Dance. On today, we have for your viewing pleasure the Image "Basket Head Women".
In the image among bright colors, we see "Two Women", with baskets on their heads. One may ask what is the meaning of this image. The artist Joan Dance always answered this question with the response of, "It is what the viewer decides".
I would say that these two women were stumped before, but now that they have risen above, they possess possessions which they carry on their heads.
On today, we reflect on the last of the sayings of the Tuskegee Airmen, and that saying is to, "Rise Above." Like the women in the image, the Tuskegee Airmen found the way to rise above.
Rise Above
While thinking about the last saying of the Tuskegee Airmen, the saying "Rise Above" is offered for discussion.
What does it mean to Rise Above ?
Early in my life I heard the phrase; "to consider the source and rise above". I understood that phrase to mean, for one to examine what had one stumped and then to find the weak spots and defects that would allow one to solve the current problem.
Oswald Spengler said. The secret of all victory lies in the organization of the non-obvious.
If that's true then to rise above, we must find and organize the non-obvious, and create from that the means to attain victory on a higher level?
I do wrestle with the saying "Rise Above" but the effects of me thinking about it create so many opportunities.
The visualization of rising above creates the mental image of running into a wall and not being able to get around it, or under it in any way, then the solution of rising above comes into play, and I rise above the situation and the problem is solved by taking the problem to the next level and solving the problem from a level above.
Epicurus said "The greater the difficulty the more glory in surmounting it. Skilful pilots gain thier reputation from storms and tempests."
What say You concerning "Rise Above"
To sum up the sayings they were to, Aim High, Believe in Yourself, Use Your Brain, Be Ready To Go, Never Quit, Expect To Win, and lastly to Rise Above.
I do want to thank all that stayed with the roll out of these sayings, they are from some time back yet I hold out hope that there is something in them that can help someone with something needed but not as yet supplied.
They help me all the time.
Cheers and Blessings
Eddie

Thanks so much Eddie, this is another great saying indeed to "Rise above"
To me, I feel also that sometimes tasks are given to those that do not bow to defeat. The struggle appears in some format of something to get over for everyone. It often appears when we least expect it, so it is to always be prepared and ready as you have already said in one of your previous blogs.
Kind regards
Erica
Thank You Erica, you seem to understand perfectly the saying, it is in replacement of the bow to defeat.
In rising above we are able to continue the campagne.
Cheers and Blessings
Eddie
Absolutely Eddie, I agree to that 💯
All the best to you
Erica
