How to Earn More Commissions Through Lead Generation!
As you progress in your online business, you will hear this phrase more often, "the money is in the list." In the beginning, I didn't pay too much attention to this.
Now I wish I started lead generation in the beginning of my blogs life. The good news is, you don't have to spend a single dime to get started.
There is a good deal of email marketing service providers who don't charge anything for your first 0-500 leads.
The Importance Of Leads
Leads are people who signs up for your newsletter. People who signs up for your newsletter shows interest in your blog. With their email address, you can reach out to get them to either purchase a product or return to your blog.
For every $1.00 spent, you're looking at roughly $40.00 return on investment. Making it one of the most profitable ways to market your business.
Nowadays, it's extremely difficult to get someones information. So the typical, "sign up for my newsletter for updates" isn't very effective anymore.
Creating Your Lead Magnet
Your lead magnet is something that you give to your readers in return for their email address. Many people prefer to offer eBooks, checklists, cheat sheets, templates, tool kits, etc.
Since this is your hook, I highly recommend that you give something that truly means a lot to your readers. If your lead magnet over delivers, they will more likely open your email in the future. And of course take your future product recommendations more seriously.
For my blog, I'm giving away Divi by Elegant Themes. It's one of the top WordPress Theme Builders in the market. Since I have lifetime access, I generated a dedicated API Key for my subscribers.
My intent is to help those who are interested in starting a blog to get a jumpstart. They'll receive full access with lifetime updates to Divi by Elegant Themes.
Once they've submitted their email, my new subscriber will automatically get redirected to my second page.
The second page is where I offer different web hosting providers that I recommend. It ranges from Wealthy Affiliate to other web hosting providers.
This is to give my readers an option. They all contain affiliate links, so regardless of whichever they choose. I can potentially earn a commission.
But just in case my new subscriber can't afford to pay for web hosting at the time. At the very bottom of the page, I have another button for them to click.
The last and final page talks about the free membership here on Wealthy Affiliate. I've also clearly stated the limitations so there's no surprise.
For example, you can't install themes with the free membership. But it gives my readers an opportunity to try blogging before making a financial commitment.
In Conclusion
Regardless of your niche, you can use the same approach to generate leads and sales at the same time. But most importantly, you'll want to be clear with what you're offering.
And also try your best to put yourself in the shoes of your readers. Money is important, but building a relationship with your readers is even more important.
It all starts here on Wealthy Affiliate. You've made a great decision to start your journey here. Wealthy Affiliate has provided you with the right tools to succeed.
Now it's all on you. It's what you do with the tools and knowledge that you've gained here. I wish you all great success!

Great job, Eric! My only concern would be giving Divi away. I don't know a whole lot, and maybe I am missing something, but at some point, Divi might take umbrage at their stuff being given away. Please enlighten me if I am missing something. I do remember a similar offer a while back, perhaps even by you!
Thanks for your time and GREAT post!
Jeff
Hi Jeffrey! Great question. I have developer access and it allows me to use it for my clients as well on an unlimited number of websites. And I believe the person you saw previously offering this is me as well. (;
Cheers,
Eric
