“Life’s Daily Inspiration in a lump of coal”

“A diamond is merely a lump of coal that did well under pressure.”

Unknown

I was laying in bed this morning thinking, A hard job for such a shallow mind as I have. Lol

I was pondering all the aches and pains this “ old 60 ish body has accumulated over the years. And about the mileage I’ve been and the roads of life I traveled.

No regrets

So I decided there and then I was like the old Gaithers song “I don’t regret a mile I’ve traveled” And it felt good to say that to myself. And I was inspired by it.

There were definitely things I could and should have done differently I realize that.

A memory from the past

Several years ago I had a Pastor of our church that said, to the congregation while preaching.

“Folks, listen to me and hear me. Everybody ought not to have to go through the briar patch in life. If you would just hear me, I can tell you I’ve been there. Maybe some of you could manage to go around it”

I have never forgotten those words, I learned though we all make good choices and bad and that those choices make us who we are.

Just a lump of coal

Just like that lump of coal we have been tried, tested, and are being refined to be all we can be. Was this dear pastor right absolutely and he will forever remain a life’s daily inspiration to me in my daily life.

My point is we are being molded everyday in to what we are supposed to be.

I’m reminded of this verse

But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Isaiah 64:8 KJV

Maybe I’ll be a life’s daily inspiration to someone else. You never know.

Blessings to All.

Scarlett and Elaine

Funny isn't it. WE know that the things we go through are meant to produce character and perseverance and help us grow a and become what He intends and we can see that when we get to the end of the trial.

But, OH BOY, we sure don't like when we are going through it, do we?

Speaking of Violins, have you ever heard the song by the Booth Brothers about an old violin that was up for auction? I have a feeling you might have.

The Booth Brothers - The Touch of the Masters Hand. Have a listen if you haven't heard it before. It's beautiful. Have a listen anyway. It's on YouTube.

WE are that old violin being dusted off and tuned up to become what we were meant to be...don't you think?

I think, in some ways, (not to take anything away from the song because the two are not really connected that way) WA training is trying to do that as well by walking us through, step by step and bit by bit, helping us to become the AM's they know we can be if we just follow the plan.

Yes?

Wayne I love the violin story but will check out utube anyway who knows might be a blog in there before you know it.
And yes I agree about WA. Thanks for sharing and reading our blog. We love to hear from people that we have hit accord with them.
Many Blessings,

No problem, Elaine, and Scarlett.

Very nice. It is like the story about the dusty old violin that would not sell, until this old gentleman wiped it off tuned it and played a song on it. No one realized the value of a dusty old violin till someone saw the hidden treasure it really was, and took the time to clean and tune it.

Thanks Lasabre, thanks for reading with Elaine and I today.
Love the story of the old violin it’s a great story and may use it later. Thanks for sharing it.

I fully believe that the Lord uses some of the most unexpected moments, biggest life belly flops, our weakest moments and sometimes a quote or random words or actions of others to make us think. I have had too many failures in this life to even mention, but somehow.... and just this very week He has used them to strengthen and encourage me by using those things to inspire others. it is truly mind blowing how we are refined and how that refining can be used to refine another and inspire them as well as the work being done in us all at the same time!
