Life’s Daily Inspiration “If Momma Wants It, Momma Gets It”
Life’s Daily Inspiration “If Momma Wants It Momma gets It.”
For those who don’t know my Mom has Alzheimer’s a terrible disease. She lives with me and is hospice now. She is 93 years old. Mom had several things on her bucket list of things to do while She still could.
Good days and bad
She has good days when I see the mom I’ve always known. And bad days that would never be a Life’s Daily Inspiration.
She reminds me on her bad days of the little saying she use to recite.
There was a little girl, who had a little curl, and when she was good,
She was very good. Very good!
And when she was bad she was horrid!
But, on the good days she is always an inspiration to me to do what you can as long as you can.
Yesterday she wanted to go for a long ride went maybe Sixty miles one way stopped at a little country restaurant and had a late lunch. Mom just is not inspired to eat at all lately. She ate only a few bites and said, let’s have dessert. And being the great daughter I am. We ordered dessert.
Blackberry pie
She ordered a blackberry fried pie, well, if You’re not familiar with a good old southern fried pie. Then Bless You’re little pea pickin heart. You have missed one of Life’s true inspirations.
Just FYI we went to the Ocoee Damn Deli a hole in the wall they generally have the best food, that’s clean and has awesome fried pies, which are just big enough for you.
Mom was like a little kid “can I have ice cream to, with two scoops?”
Well like said, If Momma wants it, Momma gets it!
When we got ready to go after eating maybe 10 little tiny bites she said, can we take some of those little pies home to?
I want three different kinds. And if momma wants it, mamma gets it.
Many Blessings,
Scarlett and Elaine

Bless you and your mother.
We lost our mother 2 years in August. My first 12 months of losing her I was a mess. Then one day, still hearing her words as if she was physically here, she said in a growly but loving tone "That's enough! Get up and be the best you can be!"
Well, what momma wants, momma gets :)
Very touched by your words. And a great reminder of her words to me.
Thank you.
Di :)
Thanks Di, and I know one day soon I will be there, but not soon I pray!

Oh, this has touched me today. I don't know why. It sounds like Y'all had a great time together yesterday. I laughed at her wanting 3 different kinds of little pies. :) I just wish I could hug her. How sweet she sounds.
I'm so sorry she has Alzheimers. Such a cruel disease.
So true, And I feel so blessed to be able to have her here. Having done hospice 41 years I knew what I was in for. Most days are not bad. But, on the really bad days I often wonder how a stranger in facility would treat her. And I am reminded I made the right choice. Facilities are awesome by an large but, for someone in mom’s condition it is harder with so many stranger as she calls them.
Many Blessings,
Scarlett and Elaine
She's also very blessed to have you! I just really feel like I should tell you that today. What a blessing you are!!
You are in my prayers.

Thank you for sharing your story with us. I lost my mother to Alzheimer's 10 years ago. I understand about the Good day and the Bad days. I am so glad that you were able to share one of the good ones. Those little fried pies are awesome aren't they. I hope you have many more GOOD DAYS with your Mom.
