Hey WA,

I've been a premium member for less than 3 months so I can't make traings yet, but needed to put some content out there for the community: my writing template.

As a new member, I find writing a large/consistent amount of content for my website intimidating. Writing templates have been the best way for me to boost productivity. Kyle covers this topic in a training but there are scattered items throught the training/community that touches on writing tips - I gathered all of the tips so far (I'm in phase 2 of boot camp) and have them listed below. Hope someone out there finds this helpful.

I start with this template in site content then edit/delete from there until the article is finished.

Was your title captivating & include your keywords?

Intro: Have an emotion appeal, why did the reader open this article? Hook them within the first 2-3 sentences. Is your keyword included within the first paragraph? Is there a photo within the 1st fold of the article?

How is this content going to help someone online & provide value?

Que up article - let your reader know what you will be covering.

1st section: What it takes to get started

• What you need to enroll/get started
• How you will be learning
• Who will be teaching you

2nd section: The actual work (past excitement, on to hard work)Pros & Cons

• Initial enthusiasm has worn off, where are you now?
• Good spot to address upsells / additional resources required -> graphic representing cost
• Difficulties faced
• Support/Training you have to overcome difficulties
• What are the initial results?

3rd Section: Summary and CALL TO ACTION

• Was this course worth taking?
• Are you actually going to remember what was taught?
• Length of term?
• Getting updated

Take away: who this course is for? Describe what type of individual would be a good fit for the program

Summary: CALL TO ACTION

Your customer doesn't know what to do. Tell them what to do. Insert CTA: link to next article, optin form for contact information, etc

DELETE AFTER WRITING: checklists

1. CIAO
1. Is the article captivating? (esp the title & intro)
2. Is the article informative? Are you actually adding research value or just putting out fluff?
3. Is the article accurate? Did you actually do your research?
4. Is the article opionated?

1. Small paragraphs -> Can a reader glance at the hightlighted (bold/underline/italics) content and get the jist?
2. Use headings
3. Black/gray on white -> Did you look at the preview & ensure your text is black and your links are blue? Did you clean up your links?
4. Conversational speak -> where can you say the same thing with less words?
5. Captivating headline -> Where is the customer in the buying cycle? Are you targeting people ready to buy?
6. Relevant images -> is there always an image seen? Could you use an image/graph/chart/screenshot instead of text? Is there a photo within the first fold of the page?
3. SHOW DON'T TELL
4. Model success - what are other top articles on this topic doing? Review the other top articles on google that rank for this topic.

Always remember: Your goal as an Internet Marketer is to connect regular web users with the information they're searching for online. Give them easy access to information that stands out and you'll do just fine.

Like anything else online, I'm sure this template will evolve quickly but I believe its a great place to start. Again, I hope this helps,
