A Bit of Motivation
This is probably the least interesting header image you will see this year. But, it means a great deal to me. My wife decided that we needed a little bit of visual motivation to remind ourselves of why we work. She still has a full time job and I am enjoying my online business.
Each ring represents $1000 of our mortgages. There are a lot more, a whole lot more, not showing in this picture. In fact, that chain wraps around our office. Everytime we pay $1000 of the mortgages, we take off a ring and have a little celebration. Every tenth ring is blue. Removing a blue ring means a big celebration. We removed a lot of chain in 2020 and so far this year. We took off two rings this morning.
I was skeptical about the chain at first, but now it represents both challenge and accomplishment. When I sit down at my computer to work on a website or finish a Youtube video, I am reminded why. Of course, we don't just focus on the chain. We have grandkids to spoil and charities to support. There are lots of wonderful places for us to see and events to attend. But that chain is motivation to work towards a goal. Do you have a motivational technique. Our chain sure motivates us to "Keep on fishin'."

You probably received $1 for the referral if they completed it through stating goals. You have to use your referral link with is located at the $ at the top right of the page. You should get an email telling you that you have a completed referral. Make sure you use your affiliate link.

That approach works for all sorts of things.
When I had a weight challenge to sort out a few years ago I put a graph on the bathroom mirror so that I saw it at least twice each day. I plotted a line from where I was to where I wanted to get to showing a target loss of 7lb per week.
I also wrote on the graph a few reasons for wanting to get down to a particular weight.
Then I did whatever I could to lose 2lb per day,
Each week I weighed myself on Sunday morning. My actual loss was always greater than the target line.
Each day the graph reminded me of what I was trying to achieve and helped me to stay motivated.
