10 impressive sites for free for commercial use high resolution images

When I started building my website about two weeks ago, I struggled to find good quality, high-resolution images. I found it hard to find images that were free of copyrights, images that could be used both on a personal blog site, or a commercial site which I believe most of ours are, and free to use. Free is a critical component as I am working on a very limited budget. Ok.....NO..... budget.

There is a definite difference between personal and commercial use. It is up to each one of us to use due diligence to ensure the images we download are free of all restrictions and are for use on a commercial website.

A few days ago one of our members offered two sites that are great. One was https://pixabay.com/ the other morgueFile free photos [I am sorry I didn't save the blog so that I could give credit.] As good as these are I feel these sites listed below offer higher resolution images. For the most part on the front page of each of this site is a clear right of use policy. Some of them do allow for donations if you feel moved to do so. Also, there are like buttons which I try always to use as a way of saying thanks.

1. https://unsplash.com/ searchable menu, high res images, the ability to sign up for ten new images a week to your email
2. http://www.gratisography.com/ also hi-res images, many of a humorous nature, new photos are added weekly.
3. http://littlevisuals.co/ Unfortunately the young photographer that created this site past away.He did leave incredible hi-res images for our use and enjoyment. There is the ability to sign up and get seven images every week.
4. http://mmt.li/ hi-res images new images added every week mostly nature and city themes
5. http://www.lifeofpix.com/ Again hi-res images, searchable menu, this site does have some advertising, but can't blame them for that.
6. http://startupstockphotos.com/ hi-res images geared solely towards a tech theme
7. http://www.pexels.com/ Extremely large collection of images, fully searchable
8. http://www.resplashed.com/ custom hi-res images
9. https://stocksnap.io/ hi-res images, easy to navigate, images to cover any subject
10. http://magdeleine.co/ again awesome hi-res images searchable menu easy navigation
