Officially Scheduled My First YouTube Video!

It seems silly to be so excited about posting a YouTube video that probably isn't that great, but I managed to learn iMovie in a matter of a few hours for basic editing.

I've spent these past few days mostly filling out my channel info and looking for ways to create cool photos to update my site with.

I am so excited about everything I'm doing and I keep thinking to myself, "Is this what it's like to create a business around something you're passionate about?" Yes, it has been frustrating, yes it's hard work, but I'm LOVING every minute of the journey.

I've never felt this way before. It's like a new love.

Now, I'm writing out my outline for my next video and I'm hoping that during filming I'll talk less and be entertaining.

I keep viewing YouTube tutorials and it's such an eye opener.

I feel like I've had a much stronger start when it comes to video quality and audio, but I'm still trying to figure out a lot of things, like what I want to share first.

No matter your choice of social media platform, make sure it's somethiong you're excited about because if it's not (in my opinion, which is very humble) then maybe it's not the right platform for you.

One thing I keep hearing over and over from successful YouTube creators is:

"Don't focus on the numbers, focus on quality content and sharing a message with your audience, even if they aren't there yet".

This is something I've had issues with in the past, but I think I finally understand it after much trial and error.

My first video is 17 minutes long and I was worried it wouldn't be long enough. My raw footage was 20 mins long, and even though I was frustrated that I needed to learn how to do basic editing in iMovie, I'm beyond happy I did and I think my video came out pretty darn good for a "newbie".

When we continue to do something, we get better at it. Focus on finding your true fans by creating content you love and be yourself instead of trying to be someone else.

This goes for your site content as well as any platform you're working to grow.

It's less overwhelming this way. I wish you all the best in your business endeavors and as always, learn and apply. Rinse and repeat.

Work on improving, even if you think what you're creating is awesome. The most important thing is to just create and improve as you go.

Thanks a ton! I'll definitely check it out! Although I must warn you, my niche I'm focusing on isn't WA promotion at the moment.

No problem! Once you've seen others channels you'll see they cover quite a bit of different topics.

Awesome sauce 👍

Congratulations keep up the great work 🍾

Thanks so much! It was actually pretty fun editing once I got the hang of it. I'm so excited I have so many video ideas popping in my head that I can hardly write down my ideas fast enough 😂😂

That’s a great position to be in
