Yes, Autumn. I got spammed a few times in comments on my blog. Then I got Akismet and spam no more. A simple plug-in.
Gotta brush them off.
Most of my beginning comments is stuff telling me that they found me on a certain page of google and that i really need help then it links to some place that can help me get my website awesome and ranked, so yeah its just spam delete it and move on!
lol I had a similar experience and it was someone putting s discreet link to buy something from them, so deleted it and made sure I had the anti-spam on, you will in time get real comments
Thanks, I hope that time starts soon ha. I do have some great comments of course by our great community, but it would be even greater to have some by you know other people. lots of people!
This is comment spam (which is automated on a mass scale by scripting programs). I would just delete this an move on. You will get comment spam like this on your website and you just should never approve it. These are the scum of the Internet and this is no different than email spam, but in the comment form.
If you want to learn more a out this and how to effectively manage comments, I suggest you check out this training.

thanks Kyle, I marked it as spam right away. I figured it would of course, affect me, if I approved it. Thanks for that info I'm gonna check it out right now!

It happens constantly and eventually to everyone. The better your website, the more SPAM you get. Make sure you have the Akismet plug in turned on.
