What Can Be Accomplished in One Month? This.
I just checked my profile and I've been a member of Wealthy Affiliate for one whole month. In that time I have:
Identified a niche.
Created a website built around that - www.bakingnaturally.org
Went Premium
Bought a domain
Created 19 substantial posts, based on categories of Baking Tips, Baking Tools, Product Reviews, Recipe Reviews and Recipes. Baked and photographed and taste-tested a dozen products.
Got set up on several affiliates, including LinkShare, Cooking.com, Buy.com and eBay (Amazon not available in Colorado). Applying regularly to other affiliates and being accepted.
Blasted through the lessons and am now sitting at Course 5, Lesson 8
Made .42 on Adsense! LOL!
Started logging my progress with blog posts and helped answer questions from people newer than me.
Revised and re-revised my posts with new information from the lessons. Learned how to work with various types of media - stock photos, video, product links. Changed my theme and learned many of the ins and outs of the options and features (slider bar, anyone?)
Setup Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools
Got 2 keywords ranked #7 and #2 on GWT just two days ago.
Watching traffic increase daily, now getting at least one clickthrough per day (man that click was hard!)
And I'm really learning my craft more and more. As I spread the info around about my site, I get emails and calls from people wanting baked goods. With every batch I pass out about 20 business cards with my website name.
And I've learned to keep really busy in retirement. Which makes my partner really happy.
Stick with it! Because you can do this too. Woohoo!
