Creating Conversions - Questions and Conversation

I finally have some time to focus on creating conversions (i.e. SALES) on my site. I've seen the traffic spike quite a lot, due to a total revision of all my keywords. Here's my Google Webmaster Tools traffic chart as of today:

First - look at traffic. As you can see, traffic has increased over 400%. That's great, right? Well, yes and no. Though I'm getting lots of impressions during Google searches, my clicks have only increased about 20% - better than a stick in the eye, but still pretty low.

Fortunately, my Bounce Rate is still decent. So when people DO click, they're sticking around a while and finding stuff they're interested in. Lovely. That protects my Google rankings.

But my question revolves around conversions - SALES. I've had about 30 ad clicks so far this month, and no sales. Grrrr . . . I want to improve that tremendously, but how?

I went back and watched the video from magistudios on Conversions, which is very helpful. He talks about creating a conversion funnel. That is, routing your viewer from the information they searched for, to a more in-depth discussion of the problem they want to solve, and then on to something that gives them the solution to their problem. Perfectly logical. But how to approach it with my site, and how to set it up structurally?

I run a cooking site. Today I posted a recipe for Chicken Divan (based on Jaaxy research). In the article, I mention that I use a Le Creuset casserole dish - some of the advantages of it - and at the end I have an ad for Le Creuset sales. So my question is, should I create an entirely different post just for the casserole dish - go into a lot more detail about it - and THEN link to the sales page? Would that be worthwhile? Any input would be appreciated.
