Thank Goodness It's Friday!
Why am I so excited that it's Friday? Because, when I come home on Friday, I know I will be able to start on all the projects I am working on around the house and in the yard.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, we have moved to a home with four acres of land. Last year we didn't get much done in the yard except for maintenance and cleanup because it was so late in the season when we moved in (June). WAYYY past time to plant a garden until the fall. Besides, we were still way too busy moving the brick and mortar business after we moved into the house to even unpack all the boxes at the house!

But this year - we have been busy little beavers. Most of the garden is planted and, in fact, things are starting to sprout, tomatoes and peppers have blooms on them, etc. It's a great pleasure to go out after I get home every day to see what new thing has popped up out of the soil.

Then there are the flowers, herbs and such. We started with a half-empty landscape. All the shrubs, except for two boxwoods in the front and one hydrangea in the back were gone. There were also established flower beds that were completely void of any flowers.

So far I have established an herb garden and replanted all the empty beds with seeds and plant divisions begged from friends.
There is so much more to be done!
Along with that, Saturday is the day I put together research done during the week for posts on my website, look for images to go along with them, etc.
I am hoping that I will be able to use pictures from my own garden eventually to add even more of a personal touch to my site.
That's another reason I'm so excited. I planted Lavender seeds about four days ago and they are already starting to pop up! I'm so thrilled I'm writing a post about Lavender and how useful it can be!

Thanks. Absolutely! After living above my store for 13 years with no yard whatsoever, I am like a kid in a candy store!!! I'm enjoying and savoring every moment. The cool part is that, eventually, I'll be able to take pictures to share on my website.

Thanks Arthur. Absolutely! After 13 years of living above our store and having no yard whatsoever, I am taking full advantage of every moment I can be outside in the dirt, lol.
Of course, the really cool part is that, eventually, I can share my own pictures on my site.
