Found Canada's Policy
Hey all,
Out of curiosity I dug around for information on Canada's FTC-style policies and found a great article from Sarah F. Hawkins (https://sarafhawkins.com/canada-influencer-endorsement-rules) on the 2017 roll out of Canada's Endorsement Guidelines.
Here's the full pdf. https://sarafhawkins.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Canada-C...
It sounds like we are not as strict on whether we need to offer a disclosure or not, but it would not hurt to be extra careful in case rules change. For this reason I recommend following the US FTC rules.

You got me thinking now about Australia's laws. I betta check.
Thanks for the reminder.
WOW, $1,000,000 an email in Canada. That is strict. I think in some countries you get less for murder.
Given the global nature of sites, go for the strictest version.
FYI, Canada is much more strict on their email policy - you can be fined $1,000,000 per email (so yeah, if you sent 100 emails it would be $100,000,000). Pretty much killed email in Canada as a sales tool.
Yeah. I'm very aware of that. Lol. My banks can't even send out updates, so on one account I keep finding updates. On the other they have a bulliten on their front page as reminders.
One complaint could literally take down the entire bank. I don't think the legislators thought about things like that when they passed the legislation. Unintended consequences rule again.
