So busy its hard to focus

I have noticed lately that I am so busy with my websites and blogging, researching new content material and keywords and on top of that I am also studying Computer Game Development where I am learning code.

I try to set a schedule where I work on my websites from the morning to the afternoon and then work on my game code from afternoon to evening.

The problem is I also have all the typical housework you would expect, I live alone so I cant get someone else to do it lol (at least until I am earning enough money to hire somebody) but what I find is that no matter what subject I am trying to concentrate on, my mind keeps wandering to all my other projects.

I find it very difficult to only focus on one project at a time and I find this can have an effect on the quality of my work. I want to be able to leave on project down and then focus entirely on the project at hand.

I am stretched too far now so it feels like it has diluted my quality some how?

I am thinking maybe I should change my schedule to have specific days that I only focus on one project and rotate them through out the week. Maybe focusing on multiple projects every day is the reason I cannot focus 100% on the job at hand.

I am thinking if I can only work on my websites and related projects on 3 to 4 days a week and then my game development the other 3 to four days.

I just don't want to neglect any one of my projects as they are all costing me money, especially my game development it costs more than I care to think about and causes me stress through worrying if I am going to complete the module on time and recieve my diploma, I am paying thousands so the thought of not getting the credits for it at the end is causing huge stress.

Does anybody else have to juggle responsibilities in this way, or have many projects that take up literally all of there free time, remember I don't even have a television so my projects are almost my only pass time lol

I would love to hear from anybody who faces similar time management issues and balancing acts. I would like to know if you have a solution.

Thank you in advance :)

Excellent source of information; also bear in mind there are numerous blog-related tools to cut down time (voice recording/online calendars/alarms/etc.)
It seems so terribly overwhelming because you are trying to attack it all at once as a whole.....another suggestion is track and time yourself for one week as detailed as possible (personal phone call, studied/read/sat/slept/ate/internet games.....log each move and time it....write it all down. You will be amazed at what it looks like and many time-savers will be readily apparent.

I agree that time management and ME management are not often as good as I would like. This is a tight rope we walk. One thing I do, have keyword lists that I use to trigger content ideas, and when I try to get something to do what I want, and it does not work, the tech stuff is my super weak spot, I pick up the list and make some notes, or get started with a draft of the next thing I want to write. I like to change pretty often as I do reach the fried state quickly! Cleaning is also a good change of pace, clean the bathrooms one day- the kitchen the next the floors the next- Each room may take most of the day doing one part, going back for the tub, ect, but at the end they are done, and I have not sat at the computer frustrated!
Just some thoughts of how it works for me.

Just do not overload yourself with too much that you neglect what is really important.

Life can definitely be overwhelming at times. When it becomes too much, I have found it helpful to take a break. Even if it is just for an hour! I like to sit outside, soak up some sunshine, and evaluate what should take priority. That will be my main focus, then I decide what things I may be spending time on that are not necessary, those things go for now. The balance can be found, if you only give 30 min a day to some tasks, it may take longer to accomplish them, but consistency will make it happen. Consider taking that break, give yourself some quiet time only to focus on how to gain balance, you will get answers from your inner self. I will send you some positive energy today to help.

Having realized it is the first step to a better balance. I just came across Leo's blog and it helped me make some self-evaluations so that I can concentrate on one thing at a time and become an expert in what I do. You might want to read @ This is one classic mistake that a lot of online entrepreneurs make. Have a fantastic weekend.

I was struggling with this as well until I read this blog by Nathaniell. Maybe it can help you too.

I'm not ignoring your request, but am at work now. Will give proper response later this afternoon. ...in same boat as you...see me in the corner?

It is all about balance and Kyle says it is best to have one great website than a few average it is important to have some down time to

Perhaps you need to concentrate on one thing at a time until you have achieved some success. That way you do not have any 'clutter' in your head regarding other projects.
I hope this helps and GOOD LUCK
