I had difficulty today logging in as a new user after creation. I toggled the different roles available, from subscriber to editor and each time I tried to login with the new user details I kept getting Error 401 Authorization Required. I sorted for help on WA but could not find an answer that helped. Frustrated but determined to resolve it, I kept trying.

After about 2hrs of troubleshooting I finally successfully logged in... phew! :)

Solution: Simply make sure the strength indicator of the password you choose, is at least Medium, for best results try and create a Strong password.

Have a lot more work to do, but I think I deserve to go to bed now.
