Meditation - A Passenger or an Engineer?
Hello, my dear WA Family, good morning, good afternoon, good evening, or good night from wherever part of this wonderful world you came from.
Here is another one of my daily short meditations by Anne Wilson Schaef, Ph.D.
Thank you so much, and the topic is
A Passenger of an Engineer?
"I have always had a dread of becoming a passenger in life." - Princess Margrethe of Denmark -
As women, we have been raised to expect someone to take care of us. Most professional women prize our independence.
Yet down deep, we often have a secret wish that someone else would take responsibility for our lives.
Frequently, we vacillate between wishing to be passengers in life and asserting that we can handle things ourselves.
Sometimes we get stuck between these two polarities. We believe that we must either resign ourselves to going along for the ride or we must be in the engine running the train.
We do not see the third option - take responsibility for our lives and simultaneously turn them over to greater power than ourselves.
To participate in our lives does not mean that we control our lives. Not controlling our lives does not mean that we are passive.
"I DO NOT NEED to choose between being a passenger or being an engineer. I can live my process."
Thank you all so much for your precious time reading this post.
God be with you all always in all ways.
In light, love, joy, blessings, and peace,
Elizabeth

My dear Simone, that is understandable
with you and not even a question about it.
Happy New Year to you, my dear.
Peace and blessings to you.
Elizabeth
Oh, thank you, my dear. Thank you.
Grace and peace to you and all your
loved ones.

A person's situation will always challenge them to be either a passenger or engineer. What ever that situation is, only then will you know what course of Action to take.

Depends on who they are and the
kind of upbringing and personality
they have and most of all the kind
of character they uphold.
Thank you, Tony.

Elizabeth,
As always you have a point of some significance to make. This one being that while we are on a journey of some magnitude, we still have a role to play. It may be that at times we are the engineer and at other times we are the passenger. Overall though, we are participants who are in the hands of a much greater engineer and will lead our lives accordingly. We can either be passive or active but in the end we should always follow His orders and plans. They are certainly greater than anything we could fashion.

Hello Jerry,
Thank you ever so much and I could not
have said it more eloquently than this.
Yes, most of the time people forget the
third option and remember only when they
are in trouble or in dire need.
That should be the very priority in our lives,
first thing in the morning, all day, and last thing
before going to bed and at the sleeping time too.
Thank you so much, Jerry and I know the Good
Lord is always guiding and protecting you.
Peace and blessings to you.

I recite Psalms 118 verse 24 each day. It helps with the day.
Jerry
Yes, my dear Jerry and I always do.
We all can share that with everybody.
"This is the day the Lord has made.
Let us rejoice in it and be glad."
Thank you so much, Jerry.
Peace and blessings to you.
