Meditation - Master Passion
Hello, my dear WA Family, good morning, good afternoon, good evening, or good night from wherever part of this wonderful world you came from.
Here is another one of my daily short meditations by Anne Wilson Schaef, Ph.D.
Thank you so much, and the topic is
Master Passion
"It is the soul's duty to be loyal to its own desires. It must abandon itself to its master passion." - Rebecca West -
Many competent women have a difficult time distinguishing between passion and workaholism. When we hear the emerging concern about the lethal effects of compulsive working, we almost always ask ourselves (or justify to ourselves):
"But what about being passionate with my work? Are you saying that to be passionate about my work is to be a workaholic? I don't want to give up my work."
Many of our role models for success are people who were willing to be devoured by their work. This is confusing to us.
True passion and doing what is important for us to do does not require us to destroy ourselves in the process.
In fact, it is when passion gets distorted to compulsivity that is considered destructive.
"MY PASSION feeds me. My addictiveness devours me. There is a great difference between the two."
Thank you all so much for your precious time reading this post.
God be with you all always in all ways.
In light, love, joy, blessings, and peace,
Elizabeth

My dear Sara,
You said it so appropriately and thus
as you said most people confused
compulsiveness with passion.
Awareness is the key to everything
with honesty and responsibility with
their own decisions.
Yes, wisdom makes a huge difference
when we do exercise it and with a true
discernment.
You are so welcome and thank you for
your wisdom and I do greatly appreciate
your continued support of my posts, Sara.
Much love,
Elizabeth
My dear Sara,
I have nothing but complete gratitude
to you and to all of you here in WA.
The Good Lord had sent me here for
a reason and I am just passing by.
I am blessing you with blessings from
above and continue to be the light of
this world with your love and caring.
Sending you grace, peace, and love.
I love you, Sara!

Oh, alright.
I'm sure you know which one works
better for you.
Just do what works. :-)

To much of anything can rob You of your joy and focus. Working smart not hard is much more beneficial and rewarding . Thanks for sharing and success to You in 2022.
Peace and Blessings Elizabeth !

Elizabeth,
A wise Sister once told me that if you do not have balance in your life then your life will always be full of conflict. Sister Marmion was referring to a balance between working continuously and having little time for family and friends. I did not understand until I had lost touch with my family. I have learned since retirement that I lost a special gift from God. Treasure each moment given to you as it is given to you.
Being passionate about your work should not be put in place of loving those closest to you.
Jerry
Most certainly and that is one of the highest
score in destroying the family relationship
Most work more than being with their loved
ones and no more time either when they come
home as they are so tired from working.
So, what are they working for? Awareness and
balance, yes, and the deep longing for an honest
relationship with our God has to be the priority
so that they will be guided all the way.
For without Him, nothing is possible.
Thank you much, Jerry.
