Starting Over
I started about a year and a half ago here at WA and I was in such a hurry to try to get through all the training and material (I did not skip anything. Went through each training video), but I think in my haste to get through it and setting unrealistic expectations, I missed a lot. The information was so new, I was having a real time of it trying to get through it and really understand what I was doing and where I was going.
I asked questions and got some answers, but at a certain point I felt real stuck, writers block, lost motivation, not liking my niche, feeling alone. Maybe there was even a whine in my tone when I was asking for help. Who wants to help a whiner;)
Well, I took a break for a few months. Still wanting to move ahead, but not sure how to proceed. When it was time to renew my premium membership I had to decide whether I was going to do it, or not. I decided to do it. I decided the best way to get back in the saddle was to start the OEC training over again since I forgot so much of what I learned.
I had created another website so I decided to go after that niche since I have much more passion about that one. I have to say, I'm enjoying the training much more this time. It's been updated since I went through it the first time. This second time through, I understand it so much better.
Another important part to all of this is that it takes patience. Not one of my strong points. Just like the picture above, in order to ride up and out of the Grand Canyon, it takes continuous, methodical steps to make it through. If you rush, you can stumble on a rock or slip down an embankment and cause yourself more distress and ultimately slow yourself down. If you're not focused you miss important things along the way that help you in your journey.
I'm so glad to be back with a new mindset and looking forward to the continuous growth and connections with fellow WA members.

Way to go, Dina! I goofed off for a year and a half and felt the exact same way that you did, my friend! I'm redoing that OEC training as well! Best new success to you here in WA!
