Is Your Content Boring?
So, do you keep using the same boring words over and over again?
The same words that everybody else uses?
I am talking about words such as best, good, great, huge, top.
In fact, even the word boring is overused!
Quite frankly, my eyes glaze over when I see these types of words.
And perhaps your readers feel the same.
You need to hit them with attention-grabbing power words!
Something thought-provoking, more descriptive.
However, you don't want to go too crazy with this, as it looks as though you are trying too hard.
Remember what I said in my previous post about your visitor's reading age.

You need to balance your power words with simple yet effective messages.
Try adding one or two in your subheaders or in your call to action.

No one likes boring content Diane!!
A quick check and change of the vocabulary we generally use can work wonders when keeping our audiences attention, but as you mentioned before.. we are writing for 12 year olds, so it is best not to overcomplecate things too much by using certain vocabulary that many may not be familiar with!

Hi - you can use an online Thesaurus to find alternative words.
https://www.thesaurus.com/
Or just type whatever word you would like an alternative to into Google and synonyms Muslimah.
For example: fantastic synonyms..
And you will find a wealth of different words which can replace the word 'fantastic'.
Very welcome Muslimah.. even as an English teacher, I use this method a lot...
After all, the English language is vast, and no one will ever know every word that is in a dictionary!
I always learn something new everyday!
I always use this method that Nick has mentioned and Google will even show you the opposite words or the antonyms.
It makes life easier for non-native English-speaking individuals.
I can very much relate to this and have studied copywriting for this very reason

Great post and your point is well-taken!
Sometimes, "boring" is in the eye and mind of the reader, which is why it's important to identify your actual target audience and attract THEM to your website.
My audience is more interested in the precise technical specs of various equipment on my guitar website. They don't really care about power words, but I know they do help prompt them to actually click on my article in their SERP.
My wife thinks my website is quite boring but she is not a guitar player. All the power words in the world and carefully written titles would not entice her to take a look. 😊🎸
