You have no doubt heard the saying, When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

Simply put, when things are not going well, turn it into something good. Take the bitterness of life and make it a positive function.

I think this one pertains to our niche sites.

How many times have you found a problem that needed a solution and gone to the internet in search of the best one?

Your readers do the same thing.

Think about it. Maybe you are having problems with teaching your dog to stop barking when you tell him to. Or your cat won't stop clawing your sofa. Maybe the problem is keeping weeds out of your lawn. Arthritis issues? Doctor is recommending knee surgery?

Whatever the problem, chances are many thousands (or more) other people have it, too.

So yes, the cat that is shredding your new furniture might actually be providing you with the seeds to grow your orchard.

While you contemplate whether to have knee surgery, you might find dozens of potential articles to write to help others with the same problem.

Not all niche sites are born this way of course. But if you are struggling with a problem, it might actually be a niche to consider.

And if you are finding it challenging to decide on a niche for your site, look to the questions and problems you, your family, and your friends face.

Those LEMONS are filled with seeds.

Squeeze out the juice for your lemonade. Enjoy it.

But then, plant those seeds. Grow your orchard. And sell the resulting fruit! It might turn into the gold that you seek.

And this, my friends, is how most of my niche ideas are born!
