Yes, my new writing companion is here!

Anyone with furkids knows that while it's impossible to replace one that has passed, sometimes the best medicine is to add another to your heart. This little girl has already wrapped herself around my heart!

I have several furkids that stay close to me throughout the day. Each one is irreplaceable. I miss my Fire girl

and will never replace her. I don't even want to.

But this little girl, as yet unnamed (we are considering Astronomical names) is a great fit into our family.

She needs a good grooming (coming soon) but what an adorable face (beneath all that fur)

My other furkids accepted her right away. Marshmallow (my Eskie) has adopted her in true mother-like fashion. The Golden Boys (Bolt and Charlie) aren't sure which way she is running next, but they seem quite intrigued.

And me? I am so happy to have another small poodle in my life. She isn't Fire and I don't want her to be. But she is a feisty little spitfire who is sure to keep us all on our toes!

More pictures will be forthcoming, of course.

I even have a short video on my Facebook page showing her playing with Marshmallow and my son's Basset, Tula.

All of our furkids, including this orange girl, will be featured in my new YouTube channel, too (I set up one for my dog site). Who can resist?

But mostly, I am just loving her and the time memories we are sure to make together!

And I think Fire would have loved playing with this little girl, too. Yes, I think she would approve!

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

I'll be playing with this little girl and all the furkids. Hopefully, we'll have a name (other than "puppy, puppy") soon!

She looks beautiful Diane and a whole box of energy!

We can never forget those who came before but must unfortunately accept when it is their time to move on....

You seem to have a fantastic addition to the family there my friend...

I wish you all many happy years together for the future...🐾🐾

Thank you, Nick. She is a great fit to our family. Expect more updates on her along the way!

I will be waiting eagerly for those updates Diane!

Have a great weekend my friend!

She is just a cute little dog, and I love how the dogs accepted her immediately. I find it cute how Marshmellow just adopted her like it's her baby, And the puppy being playful with the other dogs is so pretty too.

I agree with what everyone else says on this, a new dog can't ever replace the one who has left us, and I am sure if I lost Gracie Lou and I got a new dog, I would know that no one can be as sweet but feisty as my girl.

Enjoy the time with this little puppy who has become a magnet to you from the moment she was in your arms; you have that way with almost any dog your with; they love you right away.

Have a great weekend, mom. I am going to stay busy by writing on my sites. Love you!

Yes, she became a part of our family from the first moment. Maybe God created her just for us!

I think he knew you needed a little puppy to keep you happy; He saw how sad you were when Fire died, so he said. "She needs someone who will make her life brighter."

So God Brought up this little angel just for you.

she is quite an uplifting angel!

Hi Diane,

I think that's great that you have a new furkid to love! I know you can never replace any of them as they are all unique and have their own personalities. I agree, that the best way to stop the horrible, depressing grief is to save another baby. I learned this several years ago once you save a dog from a shelter or however you acquire your new baby you can't help but love them and it doesn't mean at all that you have forgotten any of your other babies. It's a good thing to do and helps all involved by giving a dog a good happy home!

Barbara

Indeed, that's quite true, Barbara. I see it as more of a tribute to the ones we've lost that we want to share our home and hearts again.

Yes, exactly! That is how I see it too!

You're new writing companion is sure cute!

Barbara

She's absolutely adorable and will have a wonderful life enjoying all the love you and the pack have to give. I understand about getting another dog quickly. We've done it more than once. In fact, the timing of losing our Harley and getting Cody a week later led to us also getting Hunter plus taking up dog sledding and Hunter becoming a Champion. I feel now like it all was God's timing, and I'm so grateful.

Enjoy your sweet new little Cinnamon Bear!

Thank you, Jeannine. Yes, God's timing is always perfect! She has melted into our home as if born to be here.

Great to hear about your new fur baby girl and writing companion.
Wishing you many wonderful years of joy and fun together Diane.

Tracy

Thank you, Tracy. I'm looking forward to that!
