Feeling Accomplished Today
I Did Make Traction Today
All-day today, I felt like I wasn't really getting anywhere. Monday and Tuesday were the same. I just could not seem to finish a project. Any project. And I had several on the "ASAP" list.
Oh, I worked on them. But those hurdles and snags kept appearing. I'm sure Murphy was following me around, laughing.
I did get some training posted this week. Both of these are on punctuation. Did you see them?

And today felt like much of the same. And then I looked at my "to do" list and realized that I actually made several accomplishments!
Small Victories
Not enough to celebrate a huge victory, mind you. But I did manage to check off several items on my "must finish this week" list.
And so I took Fire out for a well-deserved walk in her cute little surgery sweater. It looks like a baby onesie. But I think it suits her. And surprisingly, she seems to like it!
Here is a photo of Fire with one of my other furkids, Marshmallow.
Yes, I use strange names for my critters. Fire is short for Firecracker because as a pup she was quite the active youngster and bright orange in color. Marshmallow came to us with a different name. I don't remember what it was, but it didn't suit her at all. And being a rescue, she probably didn't know it anyway. So I thought for a bit and decided that she was white, fluffy, and very sweet. Just like a marshmallow!
Fire Continues to Heal
Fire is still recovering quite well from her first surgery. It will be another week or so before we know when the next surgery can be, or even if it is possible. One step at a time.
I use that saying a lot with the writers I coach and also with the new folk on WA. It applies to much in life, I think.
Having checked a few items off my to-do list and then getting some fresh air with the furkids, I am ready to write a little more, then get dinner on.
Life is good!
I hope everyone is having a good week--it's halfway through!

Those are big victories that
need to be celebrated and
always do celebrate no
matter how little you think
they may be.
We can only take one day
at a time and certainly it
is all for our own common
good.
Thank you so much, my
dear Dianne.
Celebrate, laugh, and have
some fun.

I think that when we take a moment and reflect on our accomplishments we all feel better about our days, even though there are lots of stops and starts. This feeling of getting something done is important, and what keeps us going. It is important to give ourselves credit.
Thanks for the share,
Sami
Yes, Sami, that's quite true. I often find that I have accomplished more than I thought I did. I guess I just need to spend more time in reflection each day.
