We are one step away from the new decade, a stage that makes us reflect on what has happen in our life or what changes we have made personally and professionally in recent years.

As we all know, our paths are not static at all. They are in a continuous evolution and change, which determines us to learn how to adapt; shapes our character, our personality, reveals the Spirit of the wolf which lives in us, that guide our journey, gives us strength and courage in dealing with different aspects of our lives.

A WILD FREE SPIRIT

Success can sometimes be a lonely road. At least, for me it was. A very tough road, which I chose to fulfill my vision; I had the courage to follow my heart and especially to be myself, to create my own authenticity.

Despite all the limitations that were imposed to me, both by society and especially by family, I decided to follow my own path, to discover my true potential and to set my strongest directions.

I did not need their support, as long as I believed in myself and in my own abilities.I had to learn, to fight alone, to develop my inner strength; The struggles build my character and all this made me to be strong alone. As a wild free spirit of the wolf.

I had to go deep into my darkness, to look at my fears in the face, to accept them; to face my personal inner challenges and to discover the wildest side of my personality.

"He who knows others is wise. He who knows himself is enlightened." Lao Cha

Even though I was tired of fighting, I always moved forward, embracing responsibility for my life.

I have learned to love myself and to treat myself as a best friend, and that gave me the strength of confidence.

I have learned what means the compassion, the empathy, which made me to appreciate others, and to think how I can positive affect the surrounding people.

I reinvent myself as many time as needed to avoid getting stuck in a monotonous and stagnant life.

A STORY OF THE TWO WOLVES WITHIN US

All these aspects of my life brought to my mind a Cherokee two wolves story, a beautiful story of Wisdom, the deepest voice of knowledge:

"One day a grandfather from the Cherokee Nation was talking with his grandson:

A fight is going on inside of me. It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.

One wolf is evil and ugly. He is anger, envy, war, greed, regret, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false, pride, superiority, selfishness and arrogance.

The other wolf is beautiful and good. He is friendly, joyful, peace, love, hope, serenity, kindness, justice, empathy, generosity, true, compassion, gratitude, loyalty.

The same fight is going on inside you and inside every other human as well.

The grandson paused in deep reflection and then finally he said: Oh grandfather, which wolf will win?

The elder Cherokee replied: The wolf that you feed."

Each of us possesses the Spirit of the good wolf who has that desire for freedom, to rise the highest level, and to create the own authenticity.

But this is more difficult to feed. It involves confrontations, obstacles, hard work, assimilation of knowledge, self-discovery, self-understanding, which does not give immediate results.

But we also hold the Spirit of the evil wolf which pulls us back, makes us doubt our own abilities; often it paralyzes our actions and feed on our fears and our own power. It will always choose the easiest and most Machiavellian way.

The spirit of the two wolves will always exist in us, a fact that will influence our emotions, behaviors and habits.

Each of us has manifestations from both specters.

How many times have you not witnessed an outburst of your own, for which you have not even found a rational explanation?

Or how many times had you had a behavior that generally does not characterize you?

I think we all went through this and we still face these issues.

MAKE THEM YOUR ALLY

How Odin said: โ€œI feed both wolves. Now they fight my enemies.โ€

If we look at the story from another point of view, we might change our opinion and vision.

I know that you will tell me that the right thing to do is to feed the good wolf. The problem is, if we feed just one wolf, we will lose control over the evil wolf, and this will become stronger.

I think we need the Spirit of the two wolves in us. The evil wolf will always give us the courage, the strategy, the strong instincts and intuition, the sharp intelligence that we will not get from the good wolf.

Instead, this one gives us compassion, love, power, endurance, accomplishment, awareness and success.

Feeding both wolves, we have control of the inner struggles, will help and guide us to create something powerful, to trust our hearts and minds, and to have control over our own lives.

โ€œIf you feed them right, they both win."

Learn to love yourself, follow your heart, have a vision and remain focused no matter what, discover new frontiers, use the challenges as opportunities and if you want to live a meaningful life, listen your inner wolf and you will thrive.

With Love,

Diana.

Janice ๐Ÿค—๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿ‘ต

Janice, your beautiful words touched my heart. Thank you very much.

Like the often misread quote "Knowledge is power".
Wrong, only "applied" knowledge is power!
Don't you agree?

Hi Petra, Happy New Year!

For me, always applying the knowledge, was my power. And still it is.;-)

Thank you for stopping by.

Best wishes,
Diana.

It is a beautiful story indeed. I've come across it somewhere and thought there was a deep wisdom in it. We have to embrace both the good and the bad in us. Love ourselves as we are, with our weaknesses.
Thanks for this post, Diana and for the pictures added to it.
Wolves are beautiful animals.
Love

Hi Laine, I am glad to see you here. I think for many of us is a continue fight with the "bad wolf". And that is because we see it as a fight. Depending on the circumstances, we should make it to be our aliat.

Too often we put things here and hope that the reader will understand what we are trying to say. Your thorough and complete explanation allowed me to fully grasp the story and I will be putting it into practice in my own life.
'Thank you!
Have a great day!
Tom

Hello Tom,

I am glad to see you here. Thank you for your time and for your appreciation. The depth message of this story is not something that everybody can see it. Most of us see things only on the surface and deny those on the inside.

Kind regards,
Diana.
