My Review Post In Position 1 on Google!

Earlier I took advise from the community and set about fixing a site that was hit by the recent update.

A review post that was in position 7 on page 1 of Google has now gone up to position 1 on page one. Same on Bing and Yahoo.

A lot more work is needed for the site and other posts but I think I can keep improving things.

Anyway, a nice thing to share - the page 1 position 1 achievement!

Now, this is easy to get if no-one else on the planet is targeting the same keyword and if no one is searching for it (newbies take note).

But in this case there are many reviews for this product and if you type in the name of it followed by the word 'review' my review will appear 1st at the top. However, more popular products are a lot more challenging to rank for.

As Kyle says, SEO often comes down to what appeals to HUMANS and engages their interest while satisfying their search intent.

Content must aim at real people. As content producers we must steer away from just thinking of the algorithm robot or thinking of website visitors as 'clicks' rather than human readers searching for nicely delivered information and solutions to problems.
