Authoring & Writing Content

Hello, I've got my first couple of posts up but have a question. I've been running an art site for approx 4-5 prior to starting my WA site yesterday. My niche is a piggyback off of

Can I reproduce my published content from ezinearticles on my WA site?

Hey Ibrahim,

You can write about the same subject as that which you submitted to Ezine Articles... but I would suggest to you that if you don't want to be penalized by Google for duplicate content that you not literally copy and paste your already published posts that you have shared elsewhere.

Hope you find this helpful.

yes, if you reword and reframe the content, then it's technically ok. Be creative so that it is not an exact duplicate. Maybe the following link would help:

http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.ca/2008/09/demystifying-duplicate-content-penalty.html

Also, I posed a similar question awhile back and the discussion was helpful to me. Here is the link:

This helped SO much thank you! Do you think I'd be taking away from my WA site by providing the link under a reworded excerpt from my interviews that takes the reader to the full interview at my other site? I'd be sure to have it open in a new window

Ex. http://handpaintedabstracts.com/andreas-preis

Having multiple sites and interlinking them is fine. But as time passes each should have a clearer identity. Are you planning to keep both?

My hope is that they'll naturally collide but for now yes

ok. then go on this journey with both and see how they develop in their identity. At some point, it will become clear to you as to how to develop them. One could become a hub and the other become more specialized. But a lot depends on your target audience and how you organize them

Remember that there is nothing natural about web work. You have to deliberately create synergy between them and make it easy for the visitor to move back and forth between the sites and for them to see clearly why there are two sites.

Man that really helps. Hub vs Specialized. Also the target audiences are different but both can benefit from the content, just is delivered in different ways. That sends me down a great path toward developing my sites. Thank you!

Hey, why wouldnt you be allowed to copy your own content? I dont think that there is a problem with that, as long its your original content... This is no law advice, since I am no lawyer, but thats how I see it ;o)

Kay

Well the talk on being penalized by google in ranking was my concern. But the articles PastorTae left above helped a lot

Yeah, NOW I know, I also learned a lot ;o)

"Large Hand Painted Abstract Artwork". My fear is that the content will have to EXACTLY match the niche, and really the only place I can go from here is to select acrylic vs oil

This is a great niche! I think it will do very well. You may also want to use the "Keyword Tool" on WA to see what keywords are related to your niche. Awesome website btw! Keep it up.

I think that you will have a lot of content for your niche. It doesn't sound like it would be too broad. I have a site on pencil crayon art and I find that my content is never ending. Maybe we could interview each other and put links up on one another's site at some point. I am http://completeartattack.com I adopted a domain name that could allow me to extend in other art mediums. Stay in touch. We can share ideas if you like.

Thank you! I am very familiar with building and running a site. Take a look at www,IVYbetty, com. This is an art/culture website I've been running for 5 years and have built up ALOT of content. My problem is monetizing it, which is why I am here to learn. My strategy is just to take the content that I have related to my niche from my site and post it on my WA site. We could absolutely trade links! Thank you for your support

It's a unique niche. I like that! You could always review other types of art work and products when writing your content."types of people who love abstract artwork"--"Abstract artists"--etc. No need to restrict yourself to the point you get frustrated. Take a look around at other website to see how others have built their websites out with different topics that "relate" to their niche. Good luck to you!

Thank you very much!
