Wealthy Affiliate is now more relevant than ever before
I'm sure that you all are quite aware that things are very turbulent in our world today. Virus scares, oil price wars, market crashes, natural disasters, mass layoffs, etc. Our days seem less and less certain as these things are going on and we're not exactly sure what tomorrow will bring.
Yesterday, I talked to a good friend and former co-worker of mine who is still at the call center I used to work at before my current job. He told me that the call center is completely shutting down at the end of June, but some business projects, including his, are shutting down earlier than that. It greatly saddened me to hear him say that he has to yet again search for a job and start at the bottom again with lower pay and he's not a young guy as he's approaching his 60s.
I've been in that situation before and it just makes me sick to my stomach that I went through that and now others are about to go through that themselves. With all this uncertainty happening, it's nice to know that there is an alternative to help get away from that, especially when it comes to traditional jobs. Wealthy Affiliate is that alternative and is now needed more than ever with all the things happening today.
People are scared of what could happen and our media sure isn't helping things, but we need to show others that there are things they can do to help themselves as well as others and showing them what Wealthy Affiliate offers hope and a better alternative to the uncertainty of whether their job is going to be there the next day or not. People are making a great living here at Wealthy Affiliate and have reached the lifestyle they've dreamed of. I'm activtely working on making that happen and I want to help others make that a reality as well. We can all show others that Wealthy Affiliate offers hope in a very uncertain job world.

Very well said. I think that makes about the best case for running an online business. Even if it weren't for the virus, there are so many other crazy things going on in the world that seem to happen with little notice and most people aren't prepared for them. They buy into this notion of "job security," without even considering the chance they're taking by placing their lives in someone else's hands (their employer). And if they're not considering that, it's safe to say that the idea of multiple streams of income is probably the furthest thing from their minds. With regard to WA, I think we're all in a pretty good place, all things considered.
I totally agree. I was just talking about this with my boyfriend yesterday. With the world being so topsy turvy, and people shopping more and more online instead of going to brick and mortar stores, this is definitely the time to be getting into this business.
I feel for those who are in fear of their jobs disappearing due to cutbacks and downsizing. It must be terrifying. And I intend to share this business model with all of my friends and family who will listen. : )

At one time I was in that situation at age 60 and lost a position of 19 years. I would like to say I got into WA then or any internet marketing, but I did not. I did though recreate myself using my learned value, and improved my skills with new online social ones. These new skills assisted me in 2 more positions for 7 more years.
Still I did not motivate myself to go online for several years, and now thankful I did.
