I keep changing my mind....NEED some guidance...

Hope some people can guide me in the right direction:

When I first became a premium member of WA (in Aug. 2014) I kind of decided I would focus on a website that dealt with birthday parties and cards. That lasted like 2 days. I started setting up that website and ended up deleting it. Then I decided to do the Affiliate Bootcamp and spent some time with the training. Then I decided against that one as well because some people said that if you focus on a niche you are interested in then it would be easier to stick with it and not quit. I then decided about creating a website based on health, exercising and good frame of mind. Now I am not so sure about that one.

A little background on me:

I am a former elementary school teacher. I taught first grade for two years over 10 years ago. I got out of the teaching profession because I felt it just wasn't for me. I have always enjoyed working with young children. For the past 10 years, I have worked in offices. My last position was an Administrative Assistant and I really enjoyed it. I learned a lot from that position. I was laid off a while ago because of a "reorganization" of the company. Over 100 people were laid off. Since then I have had part time jobs. I have one now that I get between 15-20 hours a week. I have been looking for a full time job and haven't had any luck. I guess I need to be better at networking. I am thinking at this point to just get another part time job to make ends meet while I am working on this business plan.

I always wanted to try to have my own Virtual Assistant business since I have the background in business. Yet, I want to work with kids in some aspect as well. Before thinking of this VA business, I thought of applying at adoption agencies or maybe applying to be a Director at a preschool. But nowadays it seems like you have to know someone in order to get hired. I sometimes wish I lived many years past because it was so much easier landing a career.

Anyways, my question is....should I try to get this VA business up and running? I have many books on it and know what is all needed to get it going. I think by utilizing WA, maybe my business could be a success down the road.

Or should I stick to the health, exercising niche. Oh, another one I had in mind was focusing on a website dealing with first graders since I taught in the past.

As you can see, I can't decide stuff. I feel so lost.

Thanks for your help in advance,

Debbie

Hi Debbie, sounds like you are all over the place. I would have to say to find the one thing you are really comfortable with and have knowledge about. Keep it simple, and do some research as well. Like Steve said, weigh the pros and cons. Good luck. :))

Yes, I am all over the place. Researching is a good idea. I think once I do that, I will be more focused. Thank you for your help.

Your welcome and don't stress, relax and try to be objective and not overwhelmed...write pros and cons down on your decision choices. :)

Thanks again! It is much appreciated.

I have been indecisive too. I just started building my second website. My first I just lost interest. I say find something that you won't run out of ideas on. Something that you are very passionate about. It makes it easier to write something about over a long period of time.

Thank you and good luck with your business as well.

I know how it is to be paralyzed with indecision. All I can say is, pick something and stick with it for 1 year. Weigh the pros and cons of each idea. Then, choose 1 and just run with it :)

Thanks Steve :)
