Affiliate Analogy Continues….

E is for Energy

For me, energy is a feeling within that makes me want to get up and do things. It’s a happy force flowing through me. It’s like capturing the sunshine and sharing it with the people I come in contact with during the day. (OK, I put that in there because it matched the picture, which I liked and wanted to use! LOL)

So many things have an effect on our energy level. Being able to have or develop that energy from within is a lifetime goal. Meditation is helping me in this area. For me, having a relationship with God is an automatic energy-booster.

Having the right mind set is important. Staying positive certainly effects my energy levels. If I'm focusing on negative things in my life, I don't have the desire to
accomplish anything. There are things we can do to help in these areas:

  • A good night’s rest: During this down time, our body has a chance to heal and repair. Our systems, such as the circulatory and digestive, slow down and have a chance to rest.
  • Proper Nutrition: I know when I eat the right foods…fruits, vegetable, protein…I feel better. My energy is high and I can accomplish a lot. But those meals that are high in fats and calories, like pizza and pasta, just make me want to take a long nap. Actually, eating too much of the good food also makes me tired. (I just can't win.)
  • Having a Purpose: Knowing I have a direction for the day, gives me energy. Having things that need to be accomplished provide the reason to take action,

However, most of the time, my energy level is determined by external forces, people and activities outside of me. That is where Wealthy Affiliate comes in. The members of this community constantly give me the energy to do more and be more. By reading your WA blogs I am constantly impressed by your accomplishments and your willingness to help others. WA has given me the means and the motivation to change and improve my lifestyle, which is a very energizing feeling. Not only do the members keep me energized but all the training sessions give me something specific to work on to improve my website.

Committing to this analogy series has really elevated my energy level. I want to write content that may help others to keep moving forward. Your comments and feedback give me ENERGY!

Once again, Wealthy Affiliate comes through!

That is so well said Debbie, we can all have those times when we get the wobbles, some excellent advice, usually if we look we can see what the cause is, thank you for the get back on track tips, dropping off at WA can be that energy booster that can lift our spirits and help with that business building focus.

Glad you can relate. Thanks for the comment.
Debbie

The most energy I have had in the recent past was after I weaned myself off of coffee and sugar (except where it occurred naturally such as in fruit. Sadly, I have gradually started drinking coffee again. Caffeine is is he only bad habit I couldn't quit permanantly. I do use sugar, too, although nowhere near the level I used to consume. I've completely eliminated sugary beverages from my menu.

While off the sugar and caffeine, I can tell you my taste buds had a renewed sense of flavor and I was able to rekindle my appreciation for old favorites and discover some new foods that stimulated my appetite. But most of all, my energy level and stamina definitely improved.

Well at least you made some changes. It's really hard to break bad habits, especially if we enjoy them. I also no longer drink the sugary drinks...just no nutritional value. Caffeine isn't the worst habit to have. Thanks for commenting.

Wait until we get to P Debbie. Energy is fueled by PASSION!

I might have to use that one! Thanks for commenting.

Debbie, love your post on "E" and "WA". Thanks for sharing. Jay

Thanks for reading and commenting.

I never thought of it, but I agree with what you shared about being energized from reading other people' posts, Debbie. I believe that reading other people's posts is not something that we do, but something we encounter.

Absolutely....a good way of putting it. If I wasn't reading your analogies and Frank's, I'd still be on "B". Fun process.

There are so many things that need adjusting, tweaking, or just a complete overhaul of my site...it can seem endless at times! But doing this series is allowing me to maintain my sanity, lol. And knowing that 2 other people are doing the same thing is giving me the energy to keep it moving.

I was so close to making an excuse to stop and continue next month, Debbie. Seriously! But no, you and Frank are moving forward, so I'll be moving forward with you both!

I've felt the same. Thought maybe we should combine our efforts and alternate letters (closer to your original idea) but I'm in the flow now and enjoying the process.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this, Debbie! I actually had my A to Z list written just after I started, so now it's just a matter of filling in the blank.

Me too...in fact...when I opened my Firefox browser, my E is for Energy blog was highlighted. Now I get the real benefit of WA blogging. When I clicked on the article, it went to my home page with the option to join. I assume if someone did join from that I would get the referral/commission!
