My first article on SA
Good example was I had laboured over setting up my site for about 2 weeks and then I went and decided to change something and stuffed up all the setting I was panic stricken, but amazingly enough I managed to redo the whole thing quite quickly and I remembered all the stuff I had learnt and was back on track within a couple of hours.
Anyway heres the fruit of all my labour so far another step up the ladder! My very first article, http://www.streetarticles.com/pets/why-choose-a-boxer-dog
So for all you guys who just started, keep going onwards and upwards and thanks to all you more experienced members who have taken the time to help me this far on my new obsession!

Nice article Debbie good start to your campaign. Just a couple of things to update. Get your SA profile updated. Put in your picture and description about yourself makes for better discussions. Also reply to all the comments left on your article the more you can add in response to the comment left the better.
Start following a few other members who will no doubt follow back and so increase your reach when you post new articles. As Kyle said below put your keyword into the first paragraph don't wait till the next one change this one now. Just go to your dashboard and edit the article and re-submit. It will stay live until the update gets applied so you will not lose any time.

Thanks fellow kiwi - glad you enjoyed it, I agonized over choosing my niche but i'm really enjoying it people tend to try and go where they think they are going to get quick sales but for newbies like me I think you get more done if your passionate about your niche like everybody keeps saying! Nice, I see this is already on page 4 in Google. Congrats on your first article, it is a big accomplishment and when you tangible tasks like this are completed, it becomes very real!
Just a tip. I recommend putting your target search term "why choose a boxer dog" in the first paragraph of your article as well as the title. This will typically lead to better rankings.
