Some people can't be helped!

I'm writing this short blog out of frustration...

I wrote a review on a bogus system/program that's being sold right now in the MMO niche and I tell people what is wrong with it, why they should stay away, and I clearly state that I don't recommend it a few times in the article.

Today I got another one of those multiple comments I get on a regular basis, asking me for a refund because they can't access the promised get-rich-quick scheme! 🙄

All I can do is respond that I am a blogger, wrote the review, did not recommend it and I am not the one they should ask for the refund. I also tell them to ask their credit card company to dispute the charge.

I believe that some people are just too gullible and the major problem is they don't READ!

They look at the title, half-ass read what they want to see, and ASSUME everything else...

Any thoughts?

Hey Denis,

Allow me to upset half the members, LOL.

To be honest, your title says it all.

Plus, I will say, whether rightly on wrongly, that this is also something that I see on a daily basis on the Wealthy Affiliate platform.

Something that I've always said is that success isn't solely focused on the training that you receive, but rather the type of person you are.

You can give any person all the tools they need to succeed, but this doesn't guarantee success.

Furthermore, just to throw the cat amongst the pigeons, something that I read here almost on a daily basis in various "motivational posts" is that you can't fail if you don't give up.

WRONG!!!

Of course you can fail, even if you've been doing this 5, 10, or 15 years.

Once more, it all comes down to the type of person you are.

Unfortunately, the MMO niche (in my opinion) will always attract those who simply aren't capable.

One of the main problems being is that many people want to get involved in blogging, but probably haven't written a single word since they left school.

Additionally, perhaps they are not regular readers either.

Yes, these are learned skills, but you have to be WILLING to learn them.

Life is full of people looking for a shortcut.

And to take it one step further, you'll also find that many people in life have never really put in the required effort IN ANY ASPECT of their life.

This may sound somewhat harsh, but it is indicative of society.

You'll often get people who haven't achieved anything in their lives, they constantly put minimum effort into any task they do, and then because they have been SEDUCED by a nice bit of copy, they suddenly believe that they can change their lives (However, if you've never put any effort into anything in your life, what makes you think that you're suddenly going to change your attitude because you have discovered a MMO platform?)

I've capaitalized the word SEDUCED, as this is what is happening to many, many, many people.

People are taken in by what they read, but they aren't willing to question things or do their own research.

I could easily create my own MMO product. then write some sales copy saying that it's "The BEST training you'll EVER receive", and unfortunately, some people will read my copy and be taken in by it.

Once more, I regularly see members quoting things as "fact", but it's simply something they have read, never actually tried for themselves, and therefore they have no PROOF of the "facts" that they are quoting.

Yet again, this comes down to the type of person you are (I want to be popular and loved - yeah, don't we all).

Something else I regularly say is that we are different people, we come from different walks of life, and we have different abilities, as well as different expectations based on our abilities.

Again, this may sound harsh, but not everyone is cut out for everything they put their hand to.

Case in point, I've spent years trying to rollerskate/rollerblade, without any success.

I have to face facts that unless I'm willing to put in a huge amount of effort that I'm ever going to be able to stand up with a set of wheels under my feet, without falling straight on my backside.

Partha

Makes a lot of sense; I only just responded to someone saying that the WA program may not work and outdated, and they are not sure what they signed up for. Apparently, they have read some resources online, which instilled doubt within themselves.

OMG Partha!!!

You have said everything I've been thinking about for the past 8 years that I have been involved in the online business, especially since I joined the MMO train in 2018.

You gave a few examples in your response (which is a LOT more than what I expected from anyone - so a BIG THANK YOU for that 🙂) but what resonates with me is: "it all comes down to the type of person you are".

You are so absolutely right on everything you just wrote. No use repeating anything because I agree with everything!!!

Thanks again for the AWESOME response!!!

Denis

Yep, this is something else that happens regularly.

In a way, someone is allowing themselves to be influenced without doing their due diligence.

But, you can guarantee that this same person acts in exactly the same way in everyday life - allowing their daily decisions to be influenced by others, rather than sticking to their own beliefs, or using their own initiave.

Every single "product" in the world with have good and bad reviews.

Unfortunately, for some people, the FIRST review they read will help them form their opinion, and they will never do their due diligence.

Partha

Hahaha Denis,

To be honest, it's nothing more than basic human nature.

That said, I feel that in my time online (14 years) that I've actually learned more about people than I would have in my "normal" everyday life.

I'll be honest, I try not to judge, but sometimes I just can't help myself, LOL.

People amaze me on a daily basis, and not always in a good way.

Here's another saying I learned quite young, "You can't control other people, but you can control yourself".

People will always surprise, annoy, and anger you, but, we are our own masters of how we choose to react to this.

Partha

Yup, I just kinda ranted out loud but it was worth it 🙂

Mmmn i tell people the only people who fail here are those that give up. I mean in my head that means creating, learning, tweaking all the time. I don't say that, I assume people know I mean that. Thanks for pointing this out I will change that wording

Hey Catherine,

Yep, I totally get that.

Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of members here, who are finding it a struggle, haven't achieved what they set out too thus far, but they believe (and SO DO I) that if they keep at it, they will succeed.

By this I mean, you get to know people through their profiles, their interactions on the platform, etc.

So, you get to understand what type of person they are.

And I know that there are plenty of members who have the right mindset, and they're willing to put in the hours, they're willing to further their education, until they finally "cracked it".

They're my favourite types of members, they don't want something for nothing, and they're willing to potentially do things they never have done before. They're happy to step outside their comfort zone.

These members will ALWAYS have my full backing, and I'll attempt to help them if ever asked.

That said, there are plenty of members, and people in "real life" who fit the bill when it comes to my initial descriiption in my reply to Denis.

I think it's more a case of, "You can't fail if you don't give up and you have the right mindset".

We are ALL beseiged by worry and doubt sometimes.

It's how you cope and deal with the bad times that defines you as a person.

Partha

I believe that EVERYTHING Is mindset

Welp, you've said it all. I have to agree on this with you and op. What baffles me is the fact that the buyer was asking the refund from him, not where he or she bought it. Lol.

One thing that is sad is that a lot of gullible people fall for these MMO schemes with the belief that they will make money in a blink of an eye. If that was the case, we'd all be rich af.

Also, with failure comes a lesson or two and I hope they learn a thing or two because if not, it's literally dumb af (sorry for the words).

I think MMO schemes are like casinos. You gamble your money in hopes of getting a win and your chances of winning are probably 1:1,000,000,000. Some people may succeed using it, but a lot will probably fail because they just want to take and not put in the work.

Overall, speaking from my experience - the internet is a gold mine. You have to experiment with a lot of "ways on how to make money online" and learn from what you get. Affiliate marketing is just one of the many ways.

the major problem is they don't READ! Ain't that the truth. Weirdly, I have written posts like that in the past, and I have had comments or emails asking me where they can buy the product. Go figure!!!!

That's the challenge. Everyone reads with preconceived thoughts. And they understand with preconceived answers or what they know at the time and assume what they are hoping..

Partha has said it all and I totally agree with him.
