Free Access to a Premium Virtual Meeting Room Service Until 1 June

Last Update: March 25, 2020

Hi, Everyone...

For those that may be able to use a virtual meeting room, there is a service platform called Vectera that is offering free Pro access until 1 June. That may be long enough to get through the isolation period most of us are facing...

The tool can do many things beyond calls...Video, whiteboard, sharing files, sharing screens, etc. So not only is it a great way to stay in contact with loved ones but also for your work at home. Have a look and see for yourself, free to sign up and auto pro access...

I have a similar service as part of my program and can tell you it comes in very handy for personal and work projects. Give it a try if you think it will help...I attached an image of what one of the meeting rooms looks like...

Cheers!

Great Thank you

My brother-in-law runs a first aid training company , and even though he is considered as a key worker etc during the lockdown, he has just cancelled all of his face to face courses for the foreseeable future. It just isn't worth the risk.

He literally only last week mentioned the possibility of doing training via video links as a replacement. I have sent this information on to him.

Thank you again

Hi, Lawrence...

There are more products that will help him do the training online too that are being offered for free...

TechSmith, developer of Camtasia, Jing, and Snagit plus other tools, is giving away free pro accounts until the end of June for people just like your brother-in-law...

I just downloaded Video Review, Snagit, and have free premium access with no broadband limits until the end of June. Plus there is a free trial of Camtasia which is an excellent tool to record training and edit videos...

Cheers and no probs, glad this might help!

Hi Dave,
Thanks for sharing this. I'll have to check out how it compares to Zoom.

Great Erica! Likely Zoom is enough if you have it, depending on what you are looking to do with the software...There are a lot of folks out there that cannot use Zoom or other platforms, and this one seems to be working well (in Dubai)... Cheers! Dave : )

Thanks for sharing.
Do you know how this differs from Zoom?

No, I do not. They block access to Zoom, Skype, Facetime, WhatsApp, and all other such sites here in Dubai. Maybe you could compare and let us all know? Cheers! Dave : )
