List Building - In Content Forms
List Building - In Content Forms
I'm sharing this post with everyone ,because I recently conducted a split test with my optin forms
I'll come on to Split testing in a moment for the benefit of those who don't know what it means
What you will be aware of is that working online, the only thing we should be doing daily, through activity is
Building Your Own List
This is done by placing an opt in form from your autoresponder onto your blog, in the place where you think it will work best
Now in my particular case I use Thrive Themes, I chose them because they specifically make the work / training we get here at Wealthy Affiliate, a lot easier to apply, because they focus on getting conversions through their suite of tools
Thrive Leads
Part of their Suite of tools is a product called Thrive Leads
Thrive leads integrates with absolutely any of the major autoresponders on the market place
In my case, I use AWeber, I actually use two autoresponders, the other one is free, but for the purpose of this blog, I am referring to AWeber, simply because its easier to use of all the ones I have tried.
Thrive Leads, offers you multiple ways that you can attract your target market onto your list
So for the past few weeks I have been trialling 3 types of Optin Forms
1. A Sticky Ribbon optin form, which as the name suggests sticks at the top of the page/s you choose. When viewed it looks in offensive
2. In Content. Again as the name implies, this form sits in the content of your blog post, again this looks in offensive
3. The third type is the slide in, which as the name implies 'slides in on page load.
Blog Sharing
Now I have shared my blog in just about any way I can think of, through social media, via email, to see which way works best for getting clicks on my forms
The Results & Split Testing
Looking at my results today
1. Sticky Ribbon, had 84 Clicks with no optins
2.In content and Slide in both had the same number of clicks 284, they both had 2 Optins
So I decided that as the Sticky Ribbon optin, which I quite liked, had the less amount of clicks and no optins, that would go, leaving me with the two others.
Split testing is no more difficult than comparing two forms, either containg the same offer, but with different wording or two different offers and seeing which works best.It is a great time saver for sure
Both forms have been adjusted now, to reflect the same offer as before, just with different wording.I was able to do this from the Thrive Leads Dashboard
It will be interesting to see what happens with these two forms now over the next few weeks
This test came as a result of watching one or more of Jays webinars then applying the process to my blog
With Preloaded messages ,I can simply write the content and share the blog. The system does the rest for me
