#039 - A mad March ?

Last Update: March 01, 2014

Greetings, Guys and Ladies :)

It's the weekend... again. It's the start of a new month again.. The 'New Year' is suddenly not so new anymore and in fact one-sixth of it has already passed us by.

Anyway, two things I thought I would mention. Continuing the theme of us liking each others Facebook pages, or subscribing to each others YouTube channels, or any other mutually beneficial activity, please post your links on this blog so that I and other readers of this blog can like, subscribe, follow, you etc. My links are at the bottom of this page.

Secondly, if you haven't already done so, don't forget to set up Google Analytics on your website(s). If you are new to Google Analytics, GA tracks the visitors to each page and post on your website. You can see how many visitors each page and post is getting each day, where in the world your visitors are located, and a lot of other useful information which you can analyze to see whether you are getting any traffic to your site, and where it's coming from, and a whole lot more.

For example, I just logged in to GA to my Make Money Honestly account. It told me I had two current visitors on the site, one in the UK, one on West Coast USA, one was on a laptop/desktop and one was on a mobile. Now, when I'm logging in and finding 100 visitors at a time there, I'll be a happy hare, lol.

I had set it up a while back for one of my websites and wanted to do it with another. As my memory these days is similar to that of a goldfish I had forgotten how to do it. It's easy with a capital E, thanks to Kyle's great instructional video. This is one of the reasons I love WA so much. The training is fantastic !

You will need a Google account, which is easy enough to set up, and you can set up Analytics for each of your websites in that one account. If you don't do anything else this weekend, make sure you do this if you haven't already done so.

Have a great weekend and a mad money making March, or at least make a little progress towards that goal sometime this year. If you make a little progress each day or at least a few times a week, you are going in the right direction.

Love and Peace - Dave :)

Thanks Dave I have Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools but I had to get a website builder to do it for me.
Welshy does a very good video on how it's done but even following him exactly I still could not do it.
Some things are not meant for a 70+ year old. I will never give up.
My point is, if you can't do it, get a professional, it only cost me 10 quid.

Hi garth, It's very easy with the All in one SEO plug-in thingy, and Kyle's video. If I can do it, anyone can. :)

Lovely article. I have a moron' s question, I set up a Google Analytics account and it worked fine, but I did not take note of the basic data thinking it would automatically show in my Google account. But it just shows the general webpage and not mine. any suggestion? thanks

Hi, By basic data, do you mean the tracking code, or something else? If you log in to your GA account, and have set up your tracking code about two-thirds of the way down on the SEO all in one plug-in page on your website , all your data should be accessible :)
