I'm on lesson 11 in the commission academy and I'm stuck because I don't have the permalink option to put my keyword behind my URL. Is there another way. Any help will be great
Are you wanting to place your focus keyword into the url of a post you're writing? Normally by default the url is the title of the article, and this title is usually your focus keyword. Now, if the title is a bit lengthy you can change the url to just your keyword minus any extra wording you've added to the title in your WP back office post editor.
Ok so automatically it will use my title for the keyword in the URL? It jus says p=26 after my URL address and it won't let me change it. When I click on It to try and change it won't let me at the most it only sends me to my site showing my blog.
Ahh.. I know what's happening here. You just need to go into your Wordpress dashboard settings and set it up so that the url is the title of your blog instead of weird letters and numbers.
It's in your WP dashboard under Settings>Permalinks
It has my URL but behind the URL it has p=26. It won't let me add the keyword behind it. Should I still try my WordPress dashboard?
I think I got it..if I understand correctly it's set up for me already as a default. So I can add my image and post. If I'm not correct when your free again let me know. But thank you for taking the time to respond! Means alot
To have the title of the article be the default url you need to go into your Wordpress dashboard settings and set it up.
From your post editor though you can always change what your url is going to be before you publish. You just click on it in the post editor right margin and a small window opens where you can change it to whatever you like.
Your found target keywords go in the title of your post and again in first or second paragraph then write freely. Some include them towards a conclusion if it conveys a message. I'd also make sure they are grammatically correct.
With that it goes in the URL.
