Let's start networking
I have been at Wealthy Affiliate for just over a month now and like most newbies, I have made a bit of progress moving through the training manuals and asking questions from people who have quite a lot more experience then myself.
I have also branched outside of WA looking for things other than the training here.
While there are similar perspectives I have found some interesting and new information that has also been helpful and it's always good to see different sides of every story.
With some of my new knowledge in SEO, Nofollow/Dofollow links, social optimisation, and general content writing, one of the most important things I have seen is the ability to network and become part of a community.
While WA considers itself as a community, I have recently come to see it as more of a township.
What I mean by this is, people DO help each other but with intent of help back and it's hard to create a close relationship with anyone in particular.
This can be seen in the multiple areas to drop your posts for comments: What we need is not a single comment from someone pushing up your bounce rate (There is an affect on google ranks for higher bounce rates) but people to dedicate themselves to revisiting blogs and pages on a certain basis (Weekly, Bi-Weekly or Monthly) and interacting with not only the owner (yes reply to the replies you receive!) but other members and creating discussions of interest, not just jacking a single half-arsed comment and wanting one back
Don't get me wrong, I'm loving WA and what I have created here.
What I'm trying to get at here is, we need to start banding together to create a synthetic living website until it can support itself through organic traffic.
I would like to see some people reply through PM and help me start building a community WITHIN this township.
I am already doing this with a user called Neilc. I have set up a excell document with a few of his posts (still expanding it) that tells what posts and pages I've commented on and shared through various social sites and on what dates. I plan on hitting his site every day or two, adding a few comments and shaing pages, always coming back for more!
I want to open this up to more people and introduce this roster to everyone in the hopes that we can build at a faster rate.

This is an interesting concept Dan! It would skew the reports such as Google Analytics though, don't you think?
How do you mean? I can't imagine it would be any different than having 200-300 unqiue users most of which causes you to have a massive bounce rate.
and if these few people can skew your google reports, then you don't really need your google reports because you don't have a huge inward bound group of customers

Good point with the bounce rate affect.
But, just for my own knowledge.. even when people do comment once on our sites and leave, it still is better, then having no visitors/comments at all? right?

Oh yeah, it's good to have single comments but wouldn't it be better to see conversations happening too? I want to see more than single comments on posts, it gets old quickly
Actually, i've been thinking about the same thing. You know, like giving comments and receive from another until our website can support by itself. But i wonder if action like this somehow have negative impact on our site rating. Forgive me if what i said is wrong.
No, you make a fair point.
Google won't drop us for constantly posting and sharing each others content, strictly because that's what you want ALL your readers to do. If they penalised people because the same person returns constantly, adding comments, liking things and sharing content then there would be thousands of sites suffering because they are good :)
As long as the comments are done correctly and force engagement, they point out keywords, and they aren't spam, then no problem

Also, a big thing I want to do here is get some honest feed back through PM on here, NOT ON PAGES.
All critiques are to be left off the websites and done in a private setting and comments on the pages need to be relevant (you actually need to read it) and they need to try and get other readers thinking or at least let the owner respond with more than "Thank you"
I to think our ability to help each other grow through sharing our websites posts and marketing to each other is limited. What you are promoting in you niche might be something that I need or vice versa
If you want to get on board with Neil and myself,I will be happy to put together a rotating roster of a bi-weekly basis (sort of like an individual site map for each person) where each person will comment on someone elses posts and social sharing.
So, if we end up getting quite a few people on board, every 2 week yous will be given 2 or 3 people to comment on and so will everyone else. For those 2 weeks, you will be expected to return every day or 2, add a comment, do follow up comments and interact with other "1 timers" and share posts within your social groups. This will create a fair system that will allow everyone to benefit completly.
