I downloaded the free Easyazon plugin, where it asked me to enter my Easy Access Key ID and Secret Easy Access Key. It said if I didn't already have these I would have to sign u

This discussion thread might help too:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/jaweda2k/blog/using-the-easyazon-3-plugin-for-amazon

dannidougal you might have the same problem similar to what I had, it might be used and all I did was come up with something that was not already used, because, it said were already taken try another.

It could be a theme issue. Usually plugin problems occur because of this.

Hi Biren

I'm using a theme called Cute Frames so not sure if it is supported or not. I could try a support ticket and see if that helps first. Thanks

hey

also ask them whether it supports your template or not. Most of the time they will tell you

Biren

hey dannidougal,

Two things that you can do, if it is your plugin then you have to report and open a support ticket with the plugin owner and if its not the plugin probably your theme is not supporting that plugin..

What theme you use?

Hope this helps

Hey,

I tried to sign up for Adsense, however it came back unapproved. Are there any obvious reasons why this would be by looking at my website?

a lot of great answers I would agree with asking ad sense the reason probably is a simple one all the best

They want sites that have a lot of traffic how are you traffic figures maybe you should think about ad sense later on down the line
Its sites that have a lot of traffic that they want because they want clicks on the adds

Barry

I'm not getting the traffic yet as my site isn't ranked highly within Google at the moment. I'll keep writing more posts so hopefully that will help!

Wow your site looks GREAT Danni! I seriously have no clue why they turned you down. The only thing I can assume (I've only used adsense once) is:

1. Perhaps they saw you have affiliate links on your site. They might not like that if you want to do adsense.

2. Maybe there isn't space on your site for ads. I see on the right you have a lot of widgets covering up the righthand side of the screen. Perhaps removing some of those that aren't necessary may help.

Ah thanks. It's reassuring to hear that my site looks good. I'll have a look at the website settings and see what can be done to create more space.

Cool, let me know how it works out :)

Hello Dannidougal,

I am going to give you my opinion, for a Google Adsense site you need many more pages to make it viable, like 50 to 100 pages to get started.

Your page format could be improved to smaller pages 500 words a piece.

Do you have any traffic to speak of? Like how many visitors you get a day?

To Google at this time you are an unknown quantity, you need to better established.

How do you rank on search engines?

All these questions are relevant.

To Our Success Online,
Jonicas

Actually, you do not need to have 50-100 pages to get approved for adsense. I have nowhere near 50 pages and was approved. Usually, Google will provide you a reason that you were not approved. It could be something as simple as a couple broken links on your page. I would read through their requirements. Traffic should not really be a factor either because again, I was approved with a site that was less than a month old and had only a little bit of traffic. Visit the Google Adsense forums and post your question as to why you are being denied there and usually someone from Google will respond to you. They responded to me when I had an issue with a broken link that was causing me to get denied the first couple of times. Best of luck!

Hi Jonicas, thanks for your reply. I'm trying to add posts all the time so hopefully my site will soon be more padded out.

I'm not getting any traffic yet and my site is not ranked very highly at the moment. I'm hoping the more I write the higher I will get ranked.

Hi HoJo007, thanks for your comments. That's a great idea so I'll certainly do that. I did try to have a look through their terms and conditions but couldn't quite figure out what the issue was!

Check out the Google Adsense forum and post your issue there. I received a response fairly quickly from a Google rep because it was saying that my site could not be found. I'm not sure what happened really, but once I re-submitted, as they requested, I was good to go. When you were denied, you should have received an email. In the email or on your main adsense page, it should give you a reason as to why you were denied. Hopefully that will give you some guidance on changes, if any that need to be made to your site. Best of luck!

Hi Danni, have you or anyone close to ever had an account before?

I did apply for adsense once before on an awful 1 page website on the advice of an 'Internet marketer'. Needless to say I wasn't approved! I had to use a different email address to submit this url. Do you think that would have anything to do with it?

It could, Google is a pain sometimes. They might still be associating you with that old site. Email them and ask for an explanation

Ok, thanks. I'll do that

Well I am blown away that they turned you down! I just spent several minutes on your site and think you have a total winner! Don't they give any explanation at all as to why you were turned down? I would submit a request again and if that one is rejected, try to get in touch w the company to find out why. (I realize we're dealing w Google here so that may not be an easy task).
Another possible source of answers my be by Googling "Reasons for not being approved for Google Adsense." That would at least be a starting point.
Good luck, Danni! I'm now following you so I can see what happens! I think your site is wonderful.❤️

Ah thanks Sugarbird, really appreciate the kind words. I'll give it another go and see what response I get. If not I'll try and get in touch. Following you back!

Off hand, I can't see any obvious reasons. Your site looks great!

Thanks Patrick. Really glad that people like my site. It's giving me more confidence that I'm on the right track k even if Google don't agree!

My website is to do with toys for babies and toddlers but I am a little unsure of which affiliate programs I should be promoting. If I think about my buying habits for these pro

Thanks for your replies. I really should concentrate on getting some traffic first and then see from there!

Exactly! No sense in focusing on other things if there's no visitors coming to your site to test it out with. Get the traffic first and then start promoting products :)

Very useful information here, especially for newbies. Thanks!

Amazon would probably be your best bet. Also you could sell books related to your niche and there's an affiliate program called Clickbank which I'm fairly certain has this kind of info. They usually pay out up to 90% in affiliate commissions.

Remember Amazon give you commission on any sales that a user makes after clicking your link for up to 24 hours.

So even if they look on Amazon at your referred product and decide not to buy it...then the next morning buy a hairdryer from Amazon then you'd get the commission.

Also, you can search through what I call"spy networks" like offervault.com to locate specific offers and networks that may have relevant offers. Also, I have found that a blend of offers from CPA networks along with product suggestions sourced through traditional affiliate networks can help to increase affiliate revenue. For example, perhaps you are reviewing a toy that you source through Amazon. You could do an in text ad and link out to a free offer like Freebies for your Baby, which could provide additional value to new parents, and gets you paid a couple dollars just for referring an opt in (no purchase necessary). You can find this offer on CPA networks like marketleverage.com.

It is a good direction to start with. Make sure you have enough content on your site before applying for the affiliate program.

You can search for other affiliate programs down the track, but I would go with the tried and proven ones in the beginning, even though the commissions are not that high. If you would buy from those places, chances are your visitors would too. ~ Jude

Those little sales might not be much individually but they will add up.
Your ultimate goal is to get a high conversion rate, not a high commission. Constant flow is better than one off payments.

You won't find many commissions that will be extreamly high, especially for items like these.

Look at brand websites (fisher price, lamaze, etc) and see if they offer affiliate programs too.

Hi. If you haven't done this already you can type this into Google and see what comes up "toys for babies + affiliate programs".
