An idea for writers block !
We have all been there haven’t we, sitting at the screen wondering how to start a post or thinking of ideas for articles.
One thing I always do every morning is check the news headlines to see if I can find something related to one of my niches that I can come up with an idea to write an article an article about.
I check regional, national and global and it’s definitely helped me when I’ve been stuck.
I’ve got ideas for my niche of Minecraft and also ideas in the business section of a news site for my WA niche.
Just thought I’d quickly share this with you as we all struggle at times!

Great tip Darren. I am amazed at how things around me all day long often prompt me with ideas. The notes section of my phone is very well used. ~Mark
Hi Mark
It is isn’t it.
Content of your website in my opinion can be varied with a niche especially when promoting WA.
Writing articles on what’s happening in the business world or lifestyle sector adds variation to your content.
Thank you Dal!
I am not a fan of the TV lately, I used to be! I find the news and repetition to stifling, distracting and depressing.
I am not one to bury my head in the sand either!
There is never one path that suits everyone. I am pleased that you have something that works for you.
My path is to take notes, through the day, just things that pop into my mind. This way, I am conscious of my thoughts, it clears my mind of clutter and when I write, it comes straight from my heart and it is original.
I am conscious that I do no regurgitate what anyone else has produced and this is always difficult, if not impossible?
A nice original post Dal and thanks for sharing!

Hi Wayne
Yes you should always have a notebook to hand, I hate losing a though or an idea.
I don’t watch the news on tv either as I have the same feelings as you but I monitor websites such as bbc news. I always keep an eye on the tech and business sections for headline ideas.
Once I have my idea I then research and plan what I am going to write.
You are right that articles must be in our own words.
Thanks for sharing your stragety with me.

One more essential for me is Evernote. I put everything there...no matter how small the idea. Build on small ideas and they become big ideas...that lead to blog posts.
Alternatives include Google Keep, Awesome Note, One Note, Laverna, and Notezilla...there are tons more.
This and really strong coffee will have you avoiding writer's block like the plague ;)

Hi Jason

I do love a good whiteboard though aswell, I have 3 on my wall in my home office.
I have the strong coffee so I will look into those other suggestions today ! :)
Have a great week !!
