Proof That Updating Blog Posts Are Important
Just wanted to set out a quick post on what I did a couple days ago in Wealthy Affiliate site content.
I went in to see some of my old articles. I saw that they weren't indexed so I went in and did about 5 minutes of work on them and today I got an email that all three are now indexed.
Just a little proof that we shouldn't just move on but rather we should on occasion check out past work. After all this was three articles that Google wasn't liking but now with just 15 minutes work I have three more articles that are working for me.

Great work Dale and yes Old posts need to be re-visited and either improved with better content even if only a paragraph or two or simply doing a few adjustments to improve the SEO especially Images.

I did a spell check, grammar check , touched up my final paragraph where I ask for comments and added an internal link to some other pages on my website.
Hi Dale, this is similar to what Melissa (MiaL) mentioned a day or so ago. She went back and refreshed a few older posts and whether or not they are indexed...they may start to get some fresh traffic.
As I mentioned in a response, it is helpful especially since I do not post content on my website everyday. It gives me a way to increase traffic with a little refresh of each of my blog posts and the website in general.
I have updated my themes and have a menu on my site now, so that my more relevant posts will be viewed first and hopefully will have better results with my efforts.

Yes! Even if they are indexed they may have fallen in rank like many of my old ones. If they are ranked at 80, 90 or 100, no-one is going to see them. So why not freshen them up and get the rank up? I really need to do this.
Just adding more text or images or getting comments on an old post can help raise it's rank immensely.
