Home Office, Kitchen Table, Living room couch-Where Do You Work?
I thought I would put the question out there as to where everyone works on their home business.
Years ago I had a sweet home office. I had a big cherry wood desk. I had a couch, a TV and had 3 flat screen monitors. It really was a sweet office. I would sit in there for hours on end. However that was then and this is now.
Now, like I'm doing right now I work on my affiliate marketing on my 17 inch laptop, sitting on my recliner with my laptop sitting on a small lap desk.
I have the recliner put back, I'm typing this and watching my favorite hockey team right now.
For me this works. I can still do my writing, put headphones in when I need to listen to something and can quickly put my computer down if I need to do something.
I know some may say this is counter-productive but like I said this does work for me.
So I guess I would love to know how you work on Wealthy Affiliate. Where do you work on it, how much do you work on it. Do you work early? Do you work latte? Are you full time, part-time?
Just looking for a fun little post and looking to get to know the community a little better.

Hi Dale,
I work best in my little home office.I usually start working about mid morning most of the time. If I'm writing a post I work 4-6 hours.
I also have a Chromebook that I use when I'm sitting in my recliner next to my hubby.
Feeling blessed:)

I am like you. I use a reclining chair. It is not a normal "recliner" but a "Mission style recliner" with solid wood arms. These arms are perfect for setting a drink or phone. In a pinch I can even use them to set a notebook to write on.
I can sit upright or recline with my laptop on my lap. Since I sit upright at a normal desk at work all day it feels good to be able to put my feet up when I get home. I have a normal computer and 2 monitors at work and can get on WA or my websites a little from there.
My chair at home is unconventional but with the large, wooden arms for desk space it works well.
I think I like the recliner for the same reason. At work all day I sit at a desk with bright lights all around me. Even though Im working it still feels a lot like I am relaxing.
Yep, me too. With my foot issues this year it is better to have my feet up also so I have a medical excuse too!
Like you I work on my laptop set up on a small foldable table. My feet up on a stool I can peer over the top of my laptop to watch TV too, although this is usually at night.
I sometimes also work at a desk, but find sitting in my chair with my feet up works best for me.
If I want to really concentrate on something I diffuse some essential oils and play ‘Breethe’ focus music through a bluetooth speaker.
Depends on my mood really, how I set myself up to work.
What a luxury working from home is. No commuter traffic, no boring unproductive meetings, no annoying boss!!!
HI Dale,
At work I have 2 20-inch monitors, and I can check out WA a couple times when I'm not busy; at home I have a 24-inch regular and a 29-inch super wide setup, which can be linked to my desktop and/or my laptop, and the setup allows me to run 2 separated PC's at the same time if needed.
Time is my biggest struggle:
- Working swing shift hours 3 PM to midnight, trying to squeeze about an hour to work on my biz before going to bed, usually 1 ~ 2 AM; wake up early in the morning to send a kid to school, then stay home with a 3-year-old most of the time. Usually try to work for about an hour after putting the little one to a nap.

My office, the snack bar in the kitchen, the dining room table, or sometimes if my bottom or back starts to hurt, the couch. 😆
The couch counterproductively causes neck aches.🤷🏻♀️ But wherever my laptop, iPad, iPhone and notebook all have enough room without distractions works!
Fun post! I’ve always wondered how everyone else works also.
Sounds like you got it figured out. Wherever the he$$ you want lol.
Thank you for the response. It is fun reading all the answers.

Dale,
I have been working from home (wah) in a virtual environment for awhile now (Non-WA). You opened my eyes when I notice your office attire. I live in PJ's and slippers. I am ready for WA now that I purchased a small tablet with a keyboard attached. It's starters for now. The day when I can go vacation and take WA with me, I'm a WA fan for life. Great post!
What an awesome answer. I love this post because I know every story is going to be different.
I work in my bed and home office. But mostly in my home office as I don’t like distractions.
I do it in the middle of the day mostly after chores and when kids are in school.
This is a fun post. You made me curious what other members ways are as well.
Well, since I am retired I spend quite a bit of time on WA. I do have other things I am involved in, and they take me away from home a bit, but I have quite a bit of time to devote.
I also have a small office, so can leave my mess spread out all over everything, and no one but me will complain. It works well.

I work from a dark and dingy spare bedroom come home office. I recently realised after working 22 hours last weekend that my ergonomics suck!
But look on the bright side one day I will be working from a home office which looks like the image attached :)
I read an article a while back about getting up at 4am to get more done. I'm working my way down to it and get up at 4.30am every day to do 2 hours before feeding horses and going to the JOB.
Then as I said most weekends and after work about every second night for a few hours also. Don't tell the boss but every now and then I sneak in here while I'm at work also (like I might be doing right now!).
Great post and I am enjoying reading everyone's responses.
Wow, that is quite the dream location!
I check in at work too.
