Life? meh.
I've been missing for about 2 months. The month of April was lost to work, and cleaning up my laptop so that I could do my taxes (it had malware). Took me ages to clean it up. Then work decided to slap me in the face, so my blog has been somewhat ignored. Weirdly, I hit second spot on the first page of Google for a couple of days, when I hadn't posted anything for a week.
I need to restart my training sessions, and maybe try the bootcamp thing. Right now, I am frustrated with Facebook, as it seems to be blocking my posts. (No one "sees" them, even when I post to their timeline…couldn't have anything to do with the persistent attempts to get me to pay to "boost" my posts, I'm sure).
I'm also feeling discouraged. I've had no actual comments on my blog, but I've had over 200 spam comments:(
Maybe I should just quit before wearing myself out.

There is a lot of good advice here that I agree with, especially, don't quit. That's the way to failure. Concentrating on the lessons is a good idea too. Best wishes. :)
Sincerely, do not quit now cwebster17. I have had heard so many people say they almost quit before their sites took off. Ignore your WA rating and concentrate on your websites. Review the training if you neeed to BUT do not give up. How many long-tailed keywords do you have? However many increase them!
Best of luck and I encourage you to keep going. Glyn
Do NOT Quit! Take it from a renowned QUITTER! I have had my path opened to make enough money from home to pay all my bills and I was out of work because of surgeries and the inability to do my old job.
I received an e-mail in 2012 that Hub Pages had deposited over $50 into my account. I couldn't believe that the money came in from blogs I wrote in 2010. Imagine my surprise when 6 months later I received another deposit. The smart thing would have been to hightail it back and blog every day! But no, I felt guilty for leaving so I didn't go back.
I got a job splitting Adsense running a fansite. I needed more money than it was generating after 3 months so instead of working harder, or setting up another site I quit and went looking for more money. I built my own website!
Then the two people who were supposed to partner with me let me know they would join when I "showed them the money" I ended up in the hospital and my site got hacked. There were tens of thousands of spam comments! I quit again.
Now I'm here, I came with all the intentions of making it work, but I got scared that I would fail, so I didn't even try. I am back and ready to give this my everything. I'd love to know that you're with me on that. I don't want to go another two years and wish I knew what "might have been" so let's stick this out together.
Facebook is great but it's not the end all be all. Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram are very hot right now! We can make this work.

Don't quit! Everyone feel that way at some point. Take a deep breath and keep working at it. Even if it is a little bit a day, things will start turning around. Maybe trying boot camp will get the juices flowing again. Keep going! : )
I think this happens to everyone at some point. Focus on the training and getting your site the way you want it. Things will start falling into place.
I would agree with Shirley, ditch face book and concentrate on your training here.About your computer having malware, did you not have any security on it at the time, you are better to pay for your security as a lot of free security programs will let viruses in.I use Norton and it notifies you of viruses before you would open an email,if it thinks it is unsafe and it also gives the green warning if a website is ok.
Sounds like you are feeling a bit overwhelmed. Break it down into small tasks and tackle one at a time.
Cindy, sit back, take a deep breath and start doing what you want to do in the WA dear. Whatever you do, do it for yourself, for your own knowledge and satisfaction.
Don't bother with google, Facebook or any external programs that has nothing to do with the WA training. And also don't bother with comments or whether anyone's reading your blog. Blog if you want to or not.... always your choice, never mind what others think. You're not hurting anyone
I would suggest you just concentrate on the training and your website and keep building the contents. Also I urge you get started into the Bootcamp immediately. Click on the Aeroplane icon on top of your profile page and find out more why you should do that.
I pray joy and happiness for you dear....God bless,
Shirley

I hope things get better really soon. Sounds like you need a WA group hug. May we?
Thanks!
