Of course the big question is - how long until I make money at this? And that's not a bad question, but I think it can lead to the wrong focus.

I have been in sales my whole life in one form or another, and been one of the top sales people in my office over my various different fields. Why? Because my focus wasn't on sales.

I believe you have to come from a place of genuinely wanting to help people or create a quality experience. So while the goal is for us all to make money here, it shouldn't be the focus.

Write good content. Make goals based on foundational level accomplishments, not on the results of that work. Focus on making posts, making good posts, and building a quality experiene for your audience. Everyone knows the difference between going a website where they have a million ads in your face vs going to a website that really helps you figure out what you're looking for. If you focus on quality and how you can help people, the traffic will come naturally. And there is nothing wrong with monetizing that experience. Build good content, build trust, and set your goals around that quality experience, and the rest will fall into place.

One post at a time, one step at a time, and before you know it, you'll be climbing to the top!
