I have posts I'm adding to the website but I want to send them out to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram where I have accounts.....do I get one of the plugins through WordPress?

There are wordpress plugins that will automatically publish your website url to your social media accounts. for example 'social media autopublish'.

For myself, I like to do it manually and write a sentence or two to introduce the content (which can contain my keywords) and choose the image to publish and then link the url of my new post.

Great, I've done that and might just keep doing it. Also, do you ask people to sign up to your site?
Thanks, David ☺

How do I post to different pages so posts don't just show in main default page?
Should I delete the default home page?
Is there a section on this I've just not got to yet

I think it's covered, chances are you just haven't got there yet - but here's a quick run-through of the steps:

1. Firstly go into your admin dashboard & create a blank page where you would like your posts to display (just call it "blog" or something).
2. From your dashboard now go to Settings -> Reading
3. Choose which page you'd like to display as your Homepage from the dropdown & then for the Posts page select the page that you've just created (e.g. blog).

Save the changes & you'll be good to go.

posts go to the blog roll, one big long roll of posts

but that does not have to be the first page your visitor lands on, you can choose which page is the front page of your website, go into your wp dashboard menu on the left there and click settings>reading and see homepage display options

you can actually put posts in your menu, there is extra training on that - don't forget to use the search bar top center of this page for extra nuggets btw 'default home page' if that is the sample page that comes with the theme then yes, and yes there is training on that, don't skip any lessons or things like that get missed
