Preparing For A Baby Update
A Month And A Half To Go!
Time is flying by and it seems like yesterday that we found out that we would be having a baby.
In the last 2 months, I have primed and painted the baby's room, set up a registry, done ALL the doctor's appointments, and started picking out furniture. The doctor's visits have gone well, even with both of us working a ton we have still kepy everything as stress free as possible which is not an easy task.
Furniture Fun
I use the trem fun in both a happy and sarcastic sense. I loved picking out the furniture, but what a pain to put it all together! I got my blood drawn for my physical and as soon as I got home I attempted to bring a dresser upstairs by myself. After making it 3 steps form the top, I had to bring it all the way down because I got light headed (forgot about the blood drawn lol).
Add it having to clean out the room and move all the existing furniture to storage or sell was an added pain, but worth it 100%!
Clothes, Clothes, and More Clothes!
This is the most fun I have had shopping for clothes in a long time. I didn't realize how many options there are out there for children clothing.
The fact that our baby girl will be born near Christmas makes the options endless in terms of different onesie outfits and costumes! I don't know much about girls clothes, but I know I will learn more each and every day.
Wall Decor
Soooooo much tedious work here!
After repainting the walls and all that, we started to decorate the main wall where the crib will be with wood carved into her name. We added a few stars and designs to make it more fun and it turned out much better than expected!
Since then, my wife made some custom phrases and designs on her Cricut machine and we essentially decorated all the walls for cheap! We also got some frames for some of the ultrasound pictures to hang, but so much to do before then!
Excitement and Nervousness is Building!
Time is flying by so fast, but I am excited and more nervous as each day progresses! I will probably do another update once the room is fully done and post a few pics of the before and after.

My daughter, Robin, amazes me continuously. Not just her intelligence, but more with her caring heart than anything else. She’s 9, but I still think back on when she was 15 months and we had just brought her home from China... not exactly the same as y’all, but exciting tat there will be a baby that will depend on both of you. Definitely keep us updated.
Robin sounds like an amazing child! I’m sure you have awesome memories that you will cherish forever
Congratulations. I see the blue and pink does this mean you don't know if you are going to have a daughter or son. Hey wait a minute how about twins or more.
This makes me SO excited! I cannot wait for the baby updates!
Hang on tight - you're in for a wild ride! Mine are 9 years apart and still amaze me every day!
This is amazing! I had my son last year (November 30) and I remember going over all of this. Unfortunately I had a soccer injury a month before he was born, so guess what? Nothing was ready when he came to this world :)
Enjoy every single bit of work you are doing.
God bless your family!
! more month till your son's big b day! Are you getting a smash cake for him? I plan to enjoy every single moment, even the ones that can be a struggle!
Congrats Andrew!
I have 3 children ... Believe me, the nervousness is just the beginning :)
Thank you and I believe it! Everyone asks "are you ready" - I don't think anyone is ever ready till the baby comes lol.
My biggest son has 21. The girl is 19. And I have 7 years old prince ...
