$12,000 Earned in 2020! Wohoo.

Last Update: December 30, 2020

Just wanted to share a quick post since it has been a long time.

2020 was by most standards a mess of a year! But my website chuged along and brought me the passive income stream I wanted from it!

Super high level summary:

  • Type of Website: Amazon Affiliate
  • New Posts in 2020: 10
  • Total Traffic: 160k unique visitors for 180k unique sessions
  • Total Earnings: ~$12,000

And as they say, the proof is in the...screenshot? So for anyone who would maybe not believe it check out the screenshots below!

Summary from Google:

Summary from Amazon:

I do wonder what I might have done if it wasn't for COVID. You can see a huge dip in sales from the April to May timeframe and it sticks aroune all the way through November...

Tough summery months out there for sales!

What's Next?

I'll be making a new announcement & challenge in 2021 in the next week that you can all try to follow along on...As I stand up a new business from scratch starting January 1st.

Wishing you all a wonderful end to a crazy year and here's to a much more normal 2021!

Some great numbers there and well done :-)

The dip you mention, I don’t believe is related to COVID, as your clicks and ordered items have actually increased, it is only the earnings that have dropped, which tie in with the commission rate decrease earlier this year. December is still in line with May onwards, as you had a surge in clicks and ordered items :-)

Gotcha. Wow, yeah, I didn't realize they cut my niche so much from a commission standpoint. Must be getting the scale they need so it no longer makes sense. Bah! Oh well, money is money :).
