Keep your eyes on the prize
I agree wholeheartedly with this statement: It's not how well you start, it's all about how you finish. As we grow, changes are certain to take place.
For folks who are interested in making progress and excelling, the trick is to recognize which changes will take us to the place we want to be. There are times when our not-so-pleasant experiences prove to be just what we need.
In other words, the sun always shines after the storm.

Just after I added that last post it occurred to me that it is so much more fun to be looking to see what's new than to be regretting the change of an opportunity ending. Feeling negative emotions is a flag to show me that I am paying attention to the wrong thing.

When a door closes, a new one opens. We have a choice. We can lose energy over the closing door, or we can seek out the opening door to see where it leads.

Right, there is always a prize for every work done. I'm a rural person. I had been twice unsuccessful of my agricultural endeavors. For two croppings I just got equally paid for my expenses, no gain for my efforts. These are all due to drought. But I've learned a lot how farmers live a life with their own sweat, they are not lazy but they are poor, they are responsible people but they receive less support from the government. They never resign from being a farmer because they love a decent life.
Why are we here?
Because we are like the farmers who desire for a decent life through and by legit engagements even though it's hard to work for a website that can truly earn for us.
I like what you said, Craig, about recognizing which change will get us the results we want. Sometimes the storm lasts longer than anticipated, but it does eventually end.
