Keywords Are Not Fun

I have not been able to get much writing done today, so I have been trying to sneak in some keyword research. Man is that challenging. The random keywords I search for have terrible stats, and the long tail keywords have almost no searches.

Another thing is that there aren't many that are grammatically correct. Keywords have been the hardest part so far. That makes me second guess my niche, but at the same time I'm probably thinking too hard. But I get stuck on the same general keyword phrases and can't think of an alternative way to phrase it.

I can think of all kinds of things I want to write about until I try to actively write about it. Then my brain just sorta checks out. It's hard to put into words, but it's creative writing vs writing out a script. I generally do my best writing by adding in the headers first, and then filling them out as I go.

Yesterday, I figured out a way to start getting at least a little bit of traffic, though I'm not sure what good that will do in terms of rankings.

So today, I'm just (trying) to take a break from writing, though apparently I'm a closet workaholic. I've stopped even thinking about the money aspect, as I know that is far off, and I'm just focused on getting out content, which takes a lot of pressure and stress off myself.

I hope you guys are doing good today.

Courtney, just think of one keyword and work with that, don't try to worry too much about your grammar, just try to come up with a good headline of your own, something you think will be catchy. Then what I do is I hit the thesaurus, I find those alternate words and spread them out throughout my post. Go to the top of your page where it says questions, that big gray Q and ask headlines, I know there have been posts and questions written with great answers about headlines. There are programs that you can feed your keywords into that will give you great headlines, or help you develop great headlines, assisting you through your headaches. I don't know if I'm just talking to my head or the other end LOL, but give it a try. Joe

Thank you :)

Practice will make perfect, Courtney!

Enjoy your weekend!

Jeff

I like using the alphabet soup method to help me find keywords. It also helps to read through published articles you wrote and figure out which topics you wrote about that you could branch off of and break down.

Thank you for sharing your post on keywords Courtney. I agree with you keywords are not that easy to research. All the best in writing your content.

You will get there my friend. It just takes a bit of time.🌹
